Film producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson tell Anderson Cooper they are guided by writer Ian Fleming's vision for Bond -- and their own instincts about what's "Bondian" and what's not.

By the way... that cgi of Pierce Brosnan wind surfing after the mountain collides, towards the end of Die Another Day... yeah, that scene were a computer graphic rendering of 007 surfs a huge wave and returns to land to later save Jinx--"that's not Bond." Beyond that, everything else has always been to some degree, either good or great.

So in Octopussy when they decided to have Bond swinging through the jungle on vines and yodeling like Tarzan (for one example) that was considered, with their special instinct, to be perfectly "Bondian"? As much as I've wanted to like the new films with Daniel Craig I find them increasingly miserable, flat, even boring and Bond is like a grumpy robotic and dull character. He was far too rapey and unpleasant in SPECTRE particularly. The endless references and "hommages" to previous Bond films they seem to be doing in every damn one now just break the fourth wall all the time and are just lame. Bond can have a drink without it being a big song and dance about how he likes his special martini, and then in each subsequent film reminding the audience of it over and over.

Peter Franks (Diamonds are Forever) was a civilian. Ok, he was a diamond smuggler, but still a civilian. And Bond killed him.
@penguinegg012 жыл бұрын
If he is a diamond smuggler, then, in Bond's eyes, he is a villain and loses his civilian status and therefore killable.

Her family is American but she grew up in the UK, so she has a mixed accent.
