Even though I love advanced step aerobics, I get so much out of doing slower, basic workouts. I’m able to use risers & make my arm movements bigger, which makes me work just as hard if not harder than if I were doing a faster routine. So thankful for all your step workouts!!

It's been years since I did Step. I'm in my 60's and wanted something to get my heartrate up but also not be too confusing to do. Excellent cueing! SO easy to follow along and I broke a sweat - always a good indication. Thank you!!

For anyone coming to this video worried about getting started - don't! I had to take breaks after every 6 minutes when I first started, and only managed like half the moves but it gets easier the more you do it and you get fitter and being healthier has a positive impact on every other aspect of your life! 2 months later and I am on intermediate 😉 I still don't get every move but I am close enough 🤣

Great workout as always! I love that I can build up such a sweat without any jumping! Thanks for posting so many of these videos. Looking forward to continuing to try other routines you offer. The choreography is always so fun! I love how it’s very dance-y. All of the repetition helps me follow along and keep moving without getting lost. Even when you’re repeating the same move, you combine different sections of the routine to keep our brains working hard and our bodies always guessing about what move is coming next!

Absolutely loved this . Been on a weeks staycation in beautiful Wales 🏴 and everything that holidays bring, well I did it all . Home a week and my fitness levels and energy levels were zero. The thought of getting on a step or any kind of workout just drained me mentally. Saying that, there’s no one else going to get me going but me, so I put your lovely face up on KZbin and picked a video, slower video just at random and did this. I honestly felt you put this one up for me knowing how down I felt . Obviously you didn’t, but you just connect with your audience hun. You really helped me today. Thank you so much for all your videos. I did step aerobics in the 90's then got out of it when kids came along. I just got back into it and your classes are so easy to follow and my memory of the move names came back quickly. If you are a beginner Chris is a great person to teach you. I started with #1 & #2 and moving up slowly. I highly recommend subscribing to her and doing her workouts. She is easy to follow and a great teacher.

@@heatherstinson3348 I was doing it Mon thru Friday. I would wake up an hour earlier each morning. Unfortunately, I tore a tendon at my elbow from the repetitive movement. Had surgery and I’m all good now. I’m going to start again but change my schedule to every other day. I hope to take a live class one day soon. I highly recommend her videos. So many workouts and levels to choose from. 😊

I cant believe it was almost 4 months ago I did my first basic step with you. Although this still gets me sweating I can really se what progress I have made. Here I am trying out advanced and doing OK. Also, was out running Friday and for the first time since starting running last September my legs did not restrict me at all! I am really getting stronger!

I know this video is 2 years old but I just found it today. My first day doing this and it was a lot harder then I thought but your video was so educational and easy to follow I’m proud I made it through the full thing. Can’t wait for more. Thank you!

Great basic step work out! I rarely use double risers but I did for this because of the slower pace and my heart rate was skyrocketing!! 🙏❤️

There's another one similar were we learn the rocking horse I can't remember which one it is but do you have any more basics were I don't need to go over my bench? I've so limited space,in front of my bench is my sons mountain bike!!! Thanks Chris 💪💪

Hi, Michelle! Thanks for doing this video! Instead of doing over the top you can do 1 or 3 power jumps facing that side of the bench, depending if it is a single over or an over and back

I've tried another one yesterday, that said basic, but it was a bit more complicated for me to follow, than this one I did today. I have to try them all and see with which one I feel comfortable with 🙂. I like where there's a lot of basic repetition and not a lot of choreography movements. I'm just starting Step and this one was perfect 🤗🤗

Just found this one. Done the 127bpm basic for a few weeks until I felt secure in the moves. This one 128 was another great one. Giving me the confidence to keep going. ❤

Only found you a week ago - loving the basic step, can’t do all the moves my hips do NOT like curls yet so although I try, I switch some up for knees which are better for me, but it’s already helping with daily pain I don’t wake up in agony any more ❤
