Oh my, the way you are eating makes it look soooo good. I need to make this. Soup is my favorite food on the planet and it has to be practically boiling and spicy, so, I can relate to gobble and aerate method of eating. 😂

@Chela Moreno flank is leaner, so you’d probably miss out on some of the beefiness (as flavor is really carried in the fat) but I still think it’d be great. Maybe you could put in just a small amount of a good ground beef to bump up the beefiness, just a couple ounces should do it. Mmm, that sounds good!

Im korean and I was scared to make doenjang jigae but you made it look so easy, that’s one of reasons why I’ve followed you for so long.. also it’s because of your personality, your real, your honest, true to yourself, never change. Wow...just wow...1st off korean food is my favorite. 2nd, made this and blew my socks off on how delicious it is!!..I’ve been getting doenjang jigae from my local Korean restaurant for years and this recipe is far superior!!..I can now make it at home!!..and 10 times better!!..thank you so much for sharing this awesome recipe. One of my faves for sure!!

I prepared this dish tonight and it was the „bomb“👍 I wasn‘t able to find brisket, but I used a similar cut of beef. Instead of water I used a high quality beef broth and I also added some oyster mushrooms to the dish. Thanks Seonkyoung, for publishing this recipe; I‘m sure this dish will be on my list of favorites for a long time!
