Hello Charlie, I have a question about your headset and wireless microphone system? I have the same exact headset what least it looks like I have the same headset that you use. What wireless microphone system are you using? Like a road or something like that? And then for your headset can I ask what brand of headset? I teach yoga as well and I just bought a wireless microphone set with the headphone and I’m having trouble. I’m just asking other teachers what they’re using. Thank you so much.

I noticed early on with my strength training how I primarily focused on my front and abs. But, I have learned to focus on my back and glutes. It's made quite a difference in my stability. But, thank you for the reminder. I'm so focused on the poses sometimes that I need to remember the muscules I should be engaging and breathing, too.

I like finding the poses I struggle with. Once you accept where you’re at, small gains are an accomplishment and then a joy. Backbends can be strangely emotional, releasing anger etc in some people. So good to stay relaxed. Gently increase intensity by slow steps. Some, like “Cobra” or “baby cobra” are good strengtheners, but even laying over a bolster can release back muscles and help the mind accept back bending. Try what works for you. ✌🏼

I think my back muscles are strong, but glutes need work. I get a great release from laying on my stomach and resting on my elbows (not a yoga pose 😄). It’s part of my “I’m not doing yoga” yoga where I flop about for a while on my mat till my body feels good. 😁 I don’t shy away from upward bow (urdhva dhanurasana) but there’s room for improvement. Incline plane for me is hard work. Don’t know if I try too hard, set the bar high (sooo close to feet touching the floor!) or I’m just a weak arse…I mean glutes. Either way, yoga’s a good road to be on, however long, wherever I am.

I cant do the the wheel pose. But when i put my stability ball under my back i can. I can reach my hands on the ground. And my feet but without the ball not quite yet. I think it has the same function as yoga wheel but im not sure if its a good tool to practice . If it helps me towards an independent backbend with no tools. Your short videos are very interesting extra information

So strenght training is as important as stretching to be able to do these 'tricks' like backbends, splits etc... it changes pretty much everything

I can get the back to bend, the legs in position, onto my head, but my arms are noodles that can’t seem to lift the rest of me up. I’ve lost 95 lbs in the last 9 mo and with it I lost a lot of muscle. I started out the new year doing yoga with you so hopefully I’ll get back some of my strength. I can tell a difference just in the last 16 days though.

I did a backbend with streching and in my gymnastics practice everyone to and i can do a backbend and my hands on my legs just from streching.
