Can confirm, did a run with it and it's quite powerful against slower foes. Not so great against more mobile ones but this same build can support Scavenger's Curved Sword which I ran poison infused with Poison Moth Flight to reset the poisoning and get extra damage bursts.

He did one with Prod and Lost for DS 3, so yeah, pretty much guranteed to get that at some point. It was a blast, really. They used a mod that kills all in the team by petrification proc (aka deathblight) to make it more interesting. Chase died pretty much just to that and gravity... and some PvE XD I think they also managed to get invasions in areas not meant for it. So, likely Chase is waiting for similar mods happening for ER before he´ll do that routine again.

I mean i can understand the complaint when im Looking at bullgoats or lionel Armor sets (or the two sorcerers sets but These have rather Low poise) But imo the Scale Armor, beast champion armor and banished knight armor for example (maybe even Lorettas armor) have quite good Fashion while providing good poise

How I understand it the high poise sets were always supposed to look fugly. Just the rock set ended up kinda cool. They made sure by making the Bullgoat set an absolutely gorgeous piece of olympian style armor, then make it clear whats up with non removable horns destroying the intricate spartan/greek/dwarfen look.

my favorite Ash with the Antspur is Blood Tax bc the multi-hit nature of it generally procs rot in two activations and the HP regen gives you good trade potential and sustain.

If you take a serpent shield with you then you've got a mixup option that inflicts deadly poison in a single hit, this means you could swap out the poison skill on one of the rapiers, or even swap in the frozen needle for more mixups. An option for people that don't want to or can't be bothered to get a second anspur is to use rogiers rapier, it's heavy is a super fast double hit that allows you to stagger while also quickly building status, this double hit comes out faster than light attacks, so use it to trade.

Double rapiers are actually so powerful even with relatively low AR, it's insane. The only gripe I have with their moveset is that with the second L1 you only hit with the right hand weapon, which is really why bleed never procced and even poison took a long time.

I'm running the same type of build with 50 dex and arcane but I have both Exultation talismans, Mushroom Crown and successive attack boosting talismans/crystal tear. The damage gets super high real quick!

A good way to improve this build is by replacing the spear and amber medallion talismans with the lord of blood and kindred of rot’s exultation, along with wearing the mushroom crown. Switching to those will give boosts from 3/4 of the status effects being used (excluding frostbite)

The raptor talons are a set of claws with a very unique charged r2 chain. Theyre fun to use and look cool if used correctly. Ontop of that theyre smithing stone weapons so the ash of war can be changed at will, but lifesteal fist (tho its hard to land the grab) is fitting the theme i think. Love your videos. Keep up the great work! :)

i did a similar build after dlc launch. i used whips to apply poison, bleed and frost and antspur to apply rot and bleed. it was so much fun.

Proof that Chase can make any build work. Crazy that poison and rot took more than a health bar's worth of hits to proc. If Chase wasn't letting them heal just to see the status procs, they never would have happened.

The Antspur only applies 50 Rot per hit, and he has the Poisonous Mist on his off-hand. You do very few attacks with the offhand rapier in the L1 combo. He opted for Bloodhounds Step for the backstab potential instead I reckon.

You can, but the axes are pretty heavy so you'd need a lot of endurance to use 2 of them. Also very slow attacks. The hammers are a little faster, but still to slow to utilize anything but jumping attacks. They have good posture damage and a higher AR than the Rapiers, but it doesn't apply the status that much. The Rapier's speed and status application is what puts it at the top for 4x status builds.

i made this kinda build a few weeks back but i switch the bleed and frost since the bleed is the only one you can start building back up right away, with poison rot and cold either needing to wait their duration out or through outside sorces, running the white mask and blood exo for over 20% increase damage everytime bleed ocour plus blood tax AoW with godskin cloth for some health i found to be very effective, ofc the 20% by the KoR exo is very nessesay too with either rot of posion happening so often too XD the amount of damage for two little stingers.. NASTY anyway love the build keep up the awesome content

Can you try this again focusing more on consumables? Swapping around could be a hassle, but I'm sure you can manage that ;) I think the only consumable that builds up Madness is the Frenzyflame Stone. It looks a lot like a Warming Stone, but it only heals Chaos Servants - everyone else gets Madness buildup, so that could be kinda funny ;) Considering that you could lean into a faithbuild, but since most of the other status-buildup-consumables scale with Arcane, that's probably the better course As for weapons: If you're going down the faith-route I'd recommend the Eclipse Shotel for the Deathblight. Arcanebuilds should go for Ripple Blade and/or Serpent Bow because they profit a lot from a good Arcane stat, but you can choose whatever you see fit (maybe a status-buildup-weapon you haven't used in while?)

Oh man, Chase, you are missing out on so much fun by running this build with the talismans you chose. If you run it with the Exultation talismans + Rotten Wing / Milicent's Prosthesis, your AR just keeps getting higher and higher the longer the invasion goes on. (Antspurs have 3 successive hits with a single jump L1.) I run it with Arcane primary, though, usually with 2 blood Antspurs for passive bleed build up and then the poison and frost ashes respectively. Not bad for your first try, though, Chase!
