Approx 300 damage 17:35 duckin the suckin. 1039 damage 18:05 they always fall here. 1260 damage 18:46 that was absolutely hilarious 1783 damage This seems really useful. The crazy damage aside, it's ability to go through shields, react punish heals, heal you, grab ashes of war and jump attacks even. Maybe a tool to keep around on other builds 80 gravity kills since march 9th, totaling 73k~ damage

Multi hit boosts work, the dagger talisman works (yes, that's a thing). Also important to note that only magic weapon buffs will result in the crazy damage shown in the video. Any other element will increase damage but not by nearly as much.

Dual hammer catch belongs in the 2024 highlight reel. Outstanding stuff. These command grabs feel so good to land. The running R2 on the 1H Katar gives enough hitstun to pretty consistently land the grab, if I remember my Gigasthiccas lore correctly. Here’s a challenge for you: 2H curved sword, with Parry. Absolutely no one expects it. Consider the greatshield talisman and some extra stamina, to block the first R1 in case of latency. Catch ya next time!

Scholar’s Armament is probably the most powerful weapon buff in the game on an optimized build. I used it during my first play through where I was using a no-ranged-magic spellblade build, and it was just too strong. Trivialized the whole mid-game and everything up until mountain tops.

if you like a challenge, even while using L2, i recommend going no higher than rl 65 +13/+4 until ready for fire giant. that makes for one squishy cookie tarnished upon entering Leyndell 🤝

Finally, my favorite ash of war! Fun facts about Lifesteal Fist: Occult infusion is the strongest infusion without buffs, hits for around 1.5k on most claw/fist weapons with at least 60 arcane to your name. Standard affinity is the one you want to use if you're going to buff it. Scholar's Armament gets you the highest damage, but you can also use elemental weapon incantations on a faith or arcane build. Lightning Armament's pretty good for that, as is Bloodflame Blade. If you manage to land it before Blackflame Blade wears off (which is REALLY hard for its ridiculously short duration), each tick of damage Lifesteal Fist does reapplies blackflame's damage over time, allowing for a one shot, too. The Clinging Bone can be buffed with the Magic Scorpion Charm, the magic damage tear and Rogier's Spellblade armor set. 30 faith for Blackflame Protection highly recommended with that setup.

Ok I had to come back and say, this thing is so OP when built this way. Invading at 300, I don't even have the dagger talisman on, just the mutli hit talismans and hp/erdtree Not a single person has survived the grab yet. I think the most I did was like 2184 damage on this pumpkingoat The tracking is amazing, it can do a full 180 mid animation to get the grab. Heals you, the teammates always waste fp on the s too. Shuts down a lot of other ashes if used at the right time

I used to watch you PVP all the time. I am glad to be back. And I've never played Elden ring. I got Dark Souls 2 or 3 from a work party once. I was so excited to get home and play my new game. I popped it into the PS and proceeded to die FOURTEEN times against the boss at the end of the tutorial. Some knight with a big lance. It was horrific and I never played another Souls-like game again. But watching you make it looks so freaking easy is a lot of fun.

I tested this ash so much and it's still a little mysterious to me. The ash scales with arcane and does more damage the higher the base damage and crit rating are. But the ash does something similar to some gravity spells, doing physical and magical damage. So when you put scholar's armament on, the damage now scales with intelligence, while still doing the portion of physical. Idk if the crit boosts both magical or just the physical, but the damage is increased for sure. But even though it scales with int because of the spell, it still gets a boost from arcane, to the point that the silver tear mask or mirror mask that gives arcane with a hit to physical damage, actually still gets more damage from that arcane. So even though the damage will do upwards to 3000+ with just the int, arcane can push it even further, but it would take probably around lvl 200 to get all the stats and health

Lifesteal Fist is one of my favorite ash of wars! You can use magic drawstrings on a dex or str build as well with the shard and dagger talismans and it will most likely one shot people too if not darn near. I like to use it at lvl 30 with drawstrings to get rid of over leveled phantoms it’s super fun

It's fun to use on humanoid PvE too, I found what helps land hits more often is to not be locked onto target, do the ash and lock on at the last moment before the lunge!

An interesting idea to make it easier to trade with ashes like this might be to try using the Baldachin's Blessing. Normally, very useless, but if your goal is to guarantee you land your hit through the trade, maybe it's exactly what you need to make it work.

I think it would be interesting to see invasions where you have self imposed handicaps. Like giving yourself maximum damage but minimizing your health so much as to where anything can one shot you (lowest vigor possible, seals equipt, etc).

Dunno if this is useful, but the Lifesteal fist seems to work in a very similar fashion to the dark hand from DS3 which also had a grab attack. The attack tends to fail mostly when the two targets are on differing levels of ground, So if one player is slightly elevated on a rock thats usually what causes it to fail, the models dont quite line up for the grab, but the "Damage" part of it hits a larger area.
