@razkable9 жыл бұрын
Jay Low you might love the pistons but if they drafted Carmelo or wade they would still be winning rings lol.....and you can blame big nasty cornellius Williamson ben and Rasheed Wallace Lindsey hunter chauncey elden campbel and the coach larry brown for ruining darkos potential by crushing his spirit and being way to hard on him and making him the scapegoat by bullying him and not playing him.....i feel even dirk would have failed and lost confidence under those jerks horrible guidance....they were more scared of keeping their own jobs on the team and keeping jobs open for for american players then helping this foreign kid take their spots....ginobli parker dirk yao ming pay gasol Marcieji lampe the league was so diverse and people started loving international players so pistons took it upon themselves to not buy into that for bigotry reasons....rip and Tayshaun didn't help either by just staying quiet not standing up for the kid....that team was a mess of personalities lol they sold their souls for 1 title because instead of helping darko grow by playing him letting him play through mistake gain confidence and risk losing some games that year for future wins in the next few years.... and becoming a dynasty in the future with darko as the lead and everyone else supporting him ...the pistons wanted to win now with the current black guys who the organization felt represent the league and city well especially as the faces of a title team not the finesse quiet euro....and they go their wish because the lakers were a bigger mess lol ..they were bad before the Rasheed trade so why not play darko more early lol hes a number 2 pick???? if they wanted win now players draft Carmelo or wade or trade down for some vets lol dumars is an idiot....people give him credit for getting Rasheed but he is the reason darko sucks because dumaras added another loudmouth knucklehead who probably bullied and hurt darkos chances of playing more or chances of gaining confidence and becoming truly great so dumars getting Rasheed hurt darko lol....and if the lakers weren't dysfunctional and won like they should have that pistons team would have exploded and been looked at like a joke lol

They should interview Rasheed Wallace. That would be awesome.
@wrayven9 жыл бұрын
p8chill As a long time Portland resident, Rasheed really doesn't like to talk to the press. Unless ESPN was paying for his time, he wouldn't do an interview. Even if they did, Rasheed wouldn't say too much anyways. Unlike most Portland fans, I thought Rasheed was a great team player who really could play defense and understood how to play the game.

People demonized Iverson, but Larry Brown was a difficult guy to play for...he was highly critical, publicly so. His idea of "The right way" didn't always make sense, when games were too close or you were losing. Great coach and teacher...also a great man about his where he would challenge his guys to deal with the difficult and get out of their own way...but people chose not to look at Larry in many spats and dysfunction in the Sixer days.

***** If you actually know about Kenyon's background, and his life before the NBA, and then see him play, you would understand Plague Doc's logic. I'm Black and I agree with him. It's not really a race thing. If Birdman had the same background, and I would think the same with him too.

You two idiots have no idea what you are talking about...Larry Brown is one of the greatest coaches of all time (still the ONLY coach to win an NCAA and NBA championship and one of the true teachers of this game) and Chauncey definitely needed work at running the point right when he got there in Detroit. Frankly...I've always thought he was overrated and the 3rd best player when they were at the top after Big Ben and Sheed.
@projectbrikks79 жыл бұрын
He said that LB said "he had no idea how to play the position for me" as in for LB as a coach. He did mean that he didn't know how to play smart guy.
@kevinseveneleven9 жыл бұрын
I_Buy Houses Naw, Chauncey's hard work and perseverence recovering from injuries early in his career is what made him. Hitting big 3s in the playoffs is what made him. Going toe to toe with any other PG in his time is what made him. Not some overrated blowhard rookie hating, 3 point shot hating 2nd rate "legend" that took damn near 30 years to win ONE title at the pro level.

when someone has a good heart and a good moral compass to begin with - its much easier for them to be "honest" because the way they are perceiving and analyzing situations they are talking about, comes from a more grounded place. I HATED the Piston teams Chauncey played on (because I was a Kobe fan growing up) but nothing but respect for him (that opinion just coming from the energy he gives)
