This is excellent for my ebike. Used for mounting and dismounting ease and safety. It's nice riding my bike with the proper seat hight and dropping the post to stop especially at intersections and lights with my feet on the ground.

I'm thinking about getting one as a present for someone with bad flexibility to help with mounting and dismounting. Did you find it easy drop the post from standstill when dismounting, or do you need to be able to bike for a short bit with one hand as you come to a stop while sitting on the seat and using the other hand to engage the dropper?

Hey guys, I'm looking into getting my first dropper. I watched the video and heard what advice you gave. However, since I'm new to a lot of this stuff the quick install looks tempting. I've watched a couple traditional cable installs and it looks daunting from my perspective. Would you recommend this to a guy like me? Thx
@OLKIEMTB4 жыл бұрын
Like I said in the video, I can only recommend it if your trails have long climbs followed by long descents. The dropper is difficult to operate while riding. The routing of a traditional dropper post maybe daunting but to me, it's worth it.

I put 100 mm version on my wife's 2003 Specialized Enduro FSR which is similar to your GT. Works great. Note this is the Chinese knockoff of the KindShock Eten lever version which I have on my 2009 GT Force. We ride in the Sierra, so long uphills and long downhills. They both work fantastically and will change your style of riding.
@jeffster7 Жыл бұрын
I don't try to adjust except to stop, or on flat, where I see the hill coming. This is not for racing; but for quick adjustments without having to get off the bike, this works great. What does not work, is trying to quick release and adjust without getting off the bike. Without this dropper; I have to physically get off the bike to adjust the seat height; and that really slows me down. If all I do is wait until it's flat, adjust and go while riding, that's great! My bike won't take a cable dropper; and they cost more; not worth it to me to have it installed by a pro; costs more than the dropper!
@Ferrari255GTO8 ай бұрын
But at that point you either barely need it or it's just better to go with the other option. I have used one for a good few months (it broke, i really want another one :/) and i used it SOOO much i just can't imagine not having the lever. This is definitively better than having to get off the bike but if you're gonna spend money on a dropper i'd rather just get a better one

Seems to me riding over a plank doesn’t require the seat being dropped, and that in more situations where a bike should be ridden with seat down, the rider knows well in advance and should adjust the seat accordingly. This seatpost seems like a great no-fuss solution for folks who need to use dropper occasionally:

The seat post has an offset to the rear to keep the lever from protruding forward of the Saddle. If you rotated the post you would have to adjust the tilt significantly There really is no problem using the post as it’s designed I use it on my Fatbike trail riding all the time. It also makes it easy to drop your post when you place it on the car rack and lower the drag while driving

Hi, have you been able to use it much and could you answer some questions for me? as I'm looking at gettin one. Does it have a Schrader valve for air pressure or is it just a pre loaded cartridge inside, meaning the pressure is not adjustable? I noticed splines on the saddle rail clamp, are you able to tilt the saddle backwards or forwards to adjust your seated position with these splines? As I noticed there's only one bolt rather than the usual two. Is there much side to side play in the saddle after it's fixed in position? Thanks
@keithpearson1552 Жыл бұрын
It’s an internal release and lock mechanism… there is no air spring. It moves to where you move it and release the lever and it stays There is one bolt towards the back that allows for seat adjustment for-aft and tilt just like any other seat post There is very little play in the saddle post. I use one for my Fatbike and use it while trail riding
@georgiaguardian46964 жыл бұрын
I just got it today and realized that the trigger has to be pressed to go up and down instead of locking on the top to provide all time suspension. The workaround I found for it to work at all time is to strap the lever to the seat rails so it provides suspension at all time. Has anyone tried that?
