Thank you for this. That price is rather average for a decent cooking stove in the US. Some of my bbq pits cost more. But it’s still incredible to watch.

@@hunga.b oh make no mistake, I saved for awhile to get it. Living within your means is not really the American way unfortunately. Most Americans cannot afford a $400 emergency bill, it’s sad really.

@@JoMamasHouse It's probably a cultural difference. In our cultural background you tend to always prepare for the future, sometimes to a paranoid level. As such we generally always have some deposit in our bank. Take me as an example, I'm in my 20s. I'm saving for mortgage, a possible wedding, my parents' medical bill (if they get sick), my own medical bill (if something happens to me) and preparing for education of my children (if I even get married). I don't feel comfortable if my emergency fund fell under $50k. As the result I live a very modest lifestyle, rarely going out and always watch my budget. In a way I live a lifestyle very below my pay grade. But it helped me to get a property fairly early in my life after eating stale bread for ages.

@@scharlachnachtfalter1900 that’s the way to do it brother! 节约省用! The more money in the bank, the more options you’ll have. It’s why the rich can get richer so much more easily - money begets money.
For anyone else wondering, 3000 yuan is currently about $470 USD, or £355 GBP.

It seems that Chinese chefs only use one knife, the cleaver, for everything.

Most of the time 😄

It's actually not a cleaver that Chef Wang was showing in the video. A cleaver would be heavier with thicker blades - but it looks similar to the chopping knife that he was using here.

Actually chinese chefs do use different kinds of knives, usually two, both rectangular. One is thinner, for daily use, and the other one is thicker and heavier, for chopping bones. There are also some pointy stripe-shaped knives uesd for skinning and boning, but those are for butchers to use.

Perry George Chinese chefs do n’t just olny use one kitchen knife. In fact, Chinese chefs use a variety of kitchen knives, but most of them are square. You can watch the beginning of An Li ’s movie "Eat Drink Man Woman" to find out.

No, at least 3 knives for a professional chef. One for chop, one for cut, one for vegies and fruits. All in differnt size and shape.

Actually 10000 CNY is quite cheap comparing with rental & utility fee. For example, you know, in Shenzhen the average housing price is about 47000CNY/sqm....

joseph blackline the complicated thing is that do you have enough kitchen space to fit these equipments, with the ventilations and such 🤣
