i have been watching a few of these. I guess the traditional drink is with mint syrup. well, I found one with maple syrup. Maybe I make both and find out which is better. Cheers my friend.

You could use a rum, however you will need to fiddle with the ratios a bit as the bourbon is a strong spirit with spicy notes.

@@boozeontherocks It'll be either my mom's home made sour or chokecherry (depends on what she makes unless I make a small batch by melting down some jelly and adding water) or some black cherry syrup from an orchard in BC that's available here in Alberta. I just moved over the weekend to get away from my abusive ex-commonlaw wife, so my entire life is reduced to a pile of boxes for the next couple of weeks.
