White Sugar Sponge Cake | Chinese Honeycomb Cake | Made with white rice and white sugar using instant yeast method. This is a vegan, gluten free, eggless Dim Sum, Asian dessert recipe. Perfect for breakfast or dim sum for whole family.
Round mould 7" x 1"
Ingredients 材料:
50 g white rice (cooked, cold) 白饭（冷）
70 g sugar 白糖
300 ml water (room temperature) 清水(室温)
150 g rice flour (Rice 100%) 粘米粉(大米100%)
1 tsp instant yeast 速发酵母
Steam over high heat for 20 minutes
大火蒸20分钟

We make it in Assam too. We call it pitha. I forgot the exact name. we dont use coconut milk but coconut scraps I guess you are from Kerala ?
