This made me cry. What a beautiful, joyful experience for the child and therapist. I am a music therapy student and I am very inspired by this.

This video is beautiful. Hey, Ryan! I was wondering if you've ever used music therapy for a large group of kids and how to meet all of their needs at once. If not, do you know where I can find info on this? I'm looking forward to keeping up with your newsletter. Thanks for your help :)

I really enjoy watching your videos. When I apply for college I’m going to apply for a music therapy major. Do you think it’s possible to combine speech pathology and music therapy together??

Hey Ryan, I'm not sure how to reach you, but I had a couple questions pertaining to employment
@MrMikkyn7 жыл бұрын
Hi Stephen Becker, I've looked up music therapy jobs in Australia on www.seek.com and www.indeed.com, and I have found very little jobs that require music therapy, I've also looked up how many Therapists there were in Australia and there were 9 pages worth of people - so my assumption was that the demand was low, and the supply was high. Many Therapists had completed a Masters Music Therapy from accredited Universities. On the other hand, when I searched up Speech Therapy there was an endless supply of job vacancies. I have also been looking into studying a Masters of Music Therapy, but the employment opportunities seem quite limited. A lot of people have been telling that Music Therapy is an "expanding industry", but a lot of people have also told me that "Universities want your money, and you are not guaranteed a job once you graduate". I haven't found solid evidence of either hypotheses, but hopefully we can both answer these career related concerns, as they are very important for anyone wanting to study this profession.
@MrMikkyn7 жыл бұрын
Stephen Becker I would reccomend you keep doing your research Steven, I still haven't found the answers to be honest and I've done hours of researching, speaking and calling people and contacting universities. Contact your local Speech Pathologists and ASD centres that offer Music Therapy Services and ask them about the services they provide and the music therapy career. They may also tell you that it is a "growing industry" but see if you can dig deeper.
