Chinese are crazy!!! I’m a Chinese American. My child is gifted by scoring 780/800 ACT math and 35/36 ACT math at the age 11. When we attended the grand ceremony to pick up the awards at Duke (Duke TIPS) and Johns Hopkins (CTY), I saw 50% of those gifted kids were of Chinese descent, then Indian at about 30% then the wht kids at 15% and the rest at 5%. That was when I know the wht society was doomed. Chinese kids are outperforming the world!! The wht kids are too lazy, and just compete anymore. USA math team, I’m like all Chinese Americans. Huawei founder, Ren Zhengfei, is a self made man, who have sailed through much turbulence in his life before he found success with Huawei. If you look at his biography, you will see that this current American blockade against Huawei is the least challenging event in his life. This is the guy who survived Cultural revolution as former Kuomintang's child. This is the guy who suddenly got cut off from the comfort and stability of state employment when China opened up and discarded the iron bowl. This is the guy who got cheated and fell into debts when he started his business. This is the guy who is left by his wife after he lost every thing. This is the guy who has to restart every thing at forties from zero. This is the guy who founded Huawei and brought Huawei from nothing to be a global giant in telecommunication in less than two decades, obliterated other much established telecommunication giants.

If true, then this situation is very good not only for the USA, which wants its chip technology innovation not to be used by China, and obviously not only good for China, which can finally start to be independent from dependence on chip technology innovation from the USA, but also very good for other countries, because they will actually get a real choice of chip options. Thanks MAGA project!

Yeah the US manage to gain the coming biggest competitors while at the same time losing the biggest consumers. Talking about killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
@user-em5wy8zx7o17 күн бұрын
@@agamliandy7843 For other countries, why do I think about it? America and China have benefited the most from the free market. They have both been the world's largest economies for years on the back of the free market! So it's only natural that other countries now benefit even more from the sharp and ruthless competition between America and China. Let them attack each other, impose sanctions on each other, tap each other, lock each other up, etc.
@agamliandy784317 күн бұрын
@user-em5wy8zx7o I'll agree with your points if both countries engaged in fair competition. Currently the US government is using every means to disrupt the Chinese growth progress which might impact the supply chains, trade flows, geopolitical stability etc. Global economics are interlocked with each others these days, with all the conflicts going on right now - we might see a very long of dark tunnel before any light comes out.

This is a lot more broad process that it's discussed here : it's also about export of airplanes, space research, agriculture exports, using American financial system or creating alternative financial system with different reserve currency. From the point of view of countries like China and others it's dangerous to use American financial system because it's used as mechanism of war. So it's obvious that other countries must diversify from relying on imports from the US.

Currently, the situation appears peculiar. While the US dollar is depreciating because of inflation, it is gaining strength when compared to other currencies and assets such as gold and real estate. Due to the perception of safety, individuals are flocking to the dollar. I am worried that the increasing inflation could result in a decrease in the value of my retirement savings. Are there any other viable options for us to invest our money?
