China vs Japan: Why Japan is Preparing for War? | Compilation
China and Japan has been driven home by a number of incidents between the two countries. For example, in January 2013 a Chinese navy vessel directed a fire-control radar at a Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer. A little over a year later, in May and June 2014, two Chinese military fighter aircraft flew unusually close to Japanese military aircraft. These incidents could have led to a much wider conflagration, particularly in the absence of a crisis communications mechanism.

We need to be ready too, the US has a problem with its own service economy if their GDP exceeds ours, so too can their military spending. I dont see either of the 2 candidates we know will face off as well equipped to handle the current geopolitical situation. War is coming.

Don’t let this distract you from the fact that in 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.

We are not brothers. But Japan and the Philippines are platforms the US uses to contain the PRC. Their participation would be instrumental in supporting a conflict in Taiwan, forcing the PRC into a frontal attach while allowing us to choke off oil in the straits of Malaca. It's pure maritime geopolitics. But, if we had to contemplate the shape of a war, backing Japan for the time being makes sense. And they are invested in the current international order, so are strategic allies for the foreseeable future.

Japan decided to procure long-range missiles, but before that, the Harpoon Block 2 (GPS-guided mode) used on MSDF submarines was their longest-range anti-ground weapon, with a range of only about 200 km. To put it bluntly, it was insane. Even the same former Axis powers, Germany and Italy, have cruise missiles, but Japan does not even have anti-radar missiles or Mavericks(anti-ground ver). Even in the war nearly 80 years ago, missiles flew across the sea. But Japan has not had the capability to counterattack for decades. That was clearly below even the minimum capability for self-defense.

Drones are the best deterrent. They can be utilised for automated cargo deliveries and can be repurposed for explosive payloads. They're also much cheaper than missiles, aircraft, anti-aircraft batteries etc.

I don't understand, I just googled top military spending world wide and japan is all the way down in the 10th spot. this is nowhere near the claimed 3rd place that this video claims. I'm not trying to act like I'm all knowing but I'm just trying to figure out who's information I should trust. If anyone in the comments can help me figure out this conundrum you would have my thanks.

Japan has recently increased defense spending, and with Japanese GDP, you talk big numbers. Japan plans to spend 43 trillion yen ($300 billion) through 2027 to bolster its military power and to nearly double its annual spending to around 10 trillion yen ($68 billion), which would make Japan the world's third-biggest military spender after the United States and China. Look at the economic size of the countries around Japan. Except for China, it’s all laughable. If Japan commits to defense building, they can simply sustain a bigger military than North Korea or Russia. Russia has the GDP of Belgium and the Netherlands. Combine NATO economic power with the Asian partners and you have a coalition of the winners, 40+ trillion dollars and the most advanced army the world has ever seen

N.Korea, China and Russia have already started construction of a 'joint naval base' to the east of Japan where all three countries connect which, when completed, will force Japan to either join or defend against all three so that the naval base can be operated without confrontation.

@@Cybersawztext is also pretty weird, like it says that Russia fights in Ukraine for less than a year, when in fact war is ongoing for ten fucking years, and russian army is participating in it for more than two years already. Also it says like Russia is doing pretty badly, while as of now Ukraine's army is in shambles and is retreating nonstop. It feels like text was written more than a year ago, when NATO countries still had plenty of ammo and viehcles to send to Ukraine and when everebody was optimistic about the outcome.

@@followerofteaandspice1815 retreat means defeat, when retreating party claimed they are doing counter offensive. In war with Napoleon Russia was retreating on its own territory which created serious logistical problems for french. And at current war Ukraine's army is retreating from the territory, where Russia has home advantage and this retreat cant give any disadvantages to russian side.
