CHINESE circuit boards - are they BULLETPROOF?

In our first test we went for broke and tested the Chinese circuit boards with 9mm at a velocity of 1400 fps. This wasn't an unrealistic speed since that is achievable out of a pistol or something like an MP5. In this video we see if a milder 9mm round will be stopped. Bear in mind this is just another test-point and we still don't know what type of 9mm ammo they use in Hong Kong. The ammo Gregg demonstrates IS issued to some law-enforcement agencies in the U.S.

"Number C" reminds me of a mexican restaraunt in my home town. They had a "combo C" on their menu, was absolutely delicious, but every time we called to order takeout they thought we were saying "combo yes" because Si is Yes in spanish. What a mess that was. Sadly the resteraunt caught fire last year, they're rebuilding now, can't wait to order another "combo yes"

Those panels cut correctly and used in conjunction with the "Sketchy Kevlar Panel" might prove formidable indeed. I would sew two Ebay Kevlar panels together to create a pouch to house the fiberglass panel. Then I would do the same for the back and attach the two using nylon straps and adjustable buckles. If I can get my hands on the materials perhaps I will attempt such a feat.

What i have understood about soft body armours is that you don't want anything hard behind it. Kevlar (or similar) fibers are squashed between the fast bullet and hard panel and they don't flex providing protection, just cutting the fibers. I would put the most hardest and thinnest steel you can find before the fiberglass panel, deforming the bullet as much as possible. Fiberglass panel then taking the much of the energy of the deformed bullet and behind it single Sketchy Kevlar Panel(c) to catch anything that comes through. That way the the bullet goes from most rigid and least deforming to the least rigid and most deforming. Problem being is how hard steel you find cheaply... One possibility would be to use smaller (inch by inch or so) ceramic floor tiles surround by sticky flexy adhesive like Sikaflex bonding glue. Hard tiles break the bullet and glue holds the tiles together. Small tiles so that one bullet doesn't fragment all of the surface area at once.
@crwydryny

@@alaric_ most armour vests consist of soft armour with pockets for hard armour plates, also a lot of soft armour vests often have pockets for hard trauma pads. take a basic kevlar vest. it may stop a handgun round, but the force of the impact is likely to leave you winded and bruised, or even break a rib. a hard trauma pad behind it reduces the deformation into your body and spreads the force of the impact out so that it doesn't put you out of action. that said you can get soft trauma pads which are more comfortable to wear and usually contain a non-newtonian gel that hardens on impact but remains soft so as not to hamper movement.

You guys consistently deliver quality content. No BS embellishment, or gimmicky crap like some other channels (seriously, do we need to know that a gold bar can stop a bullet? Other than bragging that they make tons of money off of youtube, so much they can actually shoot gold bars!)

TAOFLEDERMAUS That one was scary. 4” in either direction and $13,000 worth of gold would’ve been in the pond.

Wow! There was actually an AD in the middle of this video! :P Anyway, I would still like to see you guys test thin sheets of mild steel and aluminum for our friends in HK. I'm sure that is something that they could also acquire over there. Even if they can't buy it, I'm sure they could find it (road signs, etc.)

if the HK engineers could make a more conformed to the body shape plate to use as a trauma plate, but use the no-name Kevlar for the primary stopping, that'd probably be more than sufficient. that trauma plate to spread out the force of the impact, even though it doesn't penetrate the Kevlar, could easily save a lot of broken bones, even if the Kevlar stops the bullet itself.
