The improvements from when you used to eat pizza out are incredible and so inspiring

Yes, when I was recovering I felt the same...like after eating more than your comfort zone, but actually finishing the meal and being like "well shoot...I should've had more..." but then it's too late in your mind to just go back and get extra. I get it girl,.you aren't alone with how you felt about that. But you're pushing yourself regardless so next Chinese meal just add more than last time with this experience in mind and increase, just bit by bit.

Dear Elzani please please remember that you are not in the situation that your family members are and you’re recovering and you need more than them, you need more, you don’t have to eat like your family or the same as their portions please don’t compare yourself to them, and don’t ever think that you shouldn’t be eating more than the amount of they’re having! Cause you should ! You need more than them! Love ya a lot 💜💙

That part of your brain that is telling you that you can "do more" is the recovery part of your brain winning! You are battling the thoughts that are scared to eat a lot, but you also have the side of your brain that is a warrior that knows it can do more! Listen to that warrior! Great job, I'm so happy you're feeling more calm around food :)
@reginaestrada51605 жыл бұрын
I think feeling that “you didn’t do your best” makes you stronger than you think, because people with the same situation feel the opposite, they feel guilty, like my case. You are doing so good!! I’m so proud of you, wish I could have your strength and no problem with eating
@rose-um1jt3 жыл бұрын
Someone beyond close to me once told me, " the good ones never think they do enough and always think they should have done more." Also, everytime you dont listen to that "ed voice" is an achievement , even if it doesn't feel like one or a big enough achievement, because it always wants to trick us into thinking we never do good enough, but that is all lies. Small victories are still victories. You're amazing, angel. Look how far you've come💗🌠💗🌠

You give such a good insight in what the illness is: your mind trying to always tell you it's not good enough, your head constantly trying to keep in control in a perfectionist way (and it's using your food and body image for that). It's so great of you to be able to expres it and be aware of it. Next time you guys have takeaway you'll just have chicken satay. Got your whole life ahead of you, you'll have plenty of satay in the future. :) Now I know you know that, but still, it can be good to hear others say it sometimes. You are so strong and such a cool girl and so amazing! I'm proud of you!

I've noticed how well you are doing in these recent videos You don't seem as panicked where food is involved, and you don't talk as much or look at it as much before eating. That's amazing! Also your mum's hilarious (in a nice way), your family all seem so genuine and kind. Glad you can be open with your parents about your ED, I recovered without the help of my parents but sometimes I wish I could have talked to them about it. Keep going, you got this x

you are amazing, seeing how you talked about you feelings after the Chinese was such an improvement your doing amazing, and just remember when you think you could/should have done more remind yourself how well you have done and you can always eat a snack or something extra, cause hey, why not! so proud of you! xxx

Wow Elzani, it’s so lovely to see you interacting and enjoying eating different foods with your family. It was interesting to hear you talking about how your ‘anorexia head’ talked to you about the Chinese takeaway. I imagine this kind of opening up about how you are feeling could really help other people with eating disorders too, which is great. I LOVED this weekly vlog with snippets of each day, it is more natural and we see more of your lovely and funny personality (and your family too!) It included food and eating, but wasn’t totally obsessive like in previous videos. Sorry this comment is so long Elzani, but I am just so happy to see you getting better and happier 😁 Just keep challenging and please make sure you eat enough calories as I worry that if you only eat the same amount as your family it won’t be enough for you to gain weight 😕 But really well done - you really are ‘doing it’ and should be very proud of yourself.

June Novae idk if they do it like this but just in case elzani doesn’t reply, you can make roast potatoes crispy by boiling them a bit first and then shaking them around in the pan so the outside gets like fluffy looking then cover them in oil & roast them

Remember that recovery is cumulative. Just because you weren’t shaking and crying whilst eating, doesn’t mean you haven’t done well- it’s actually proof that you ARE doing well and quietening the negative thoughts around food. A long distance runner won’t run a marathon every day 😚

You did so well with the takeaway and the thoughts you had afterwards are completely normal. We want to do everything so perfectly and do recovery perfectly which is why we never feel good enough when we have challenged ourselves. It's a good sign that you're motivated to get better and want to do it well, but just because you didn't have loads of anxiety this time doesn't mean that you didn't challenge yourself enough, it's just that you are rewiring your brain and maybe the more you challenge things the less anxiety there will be. If you want to challenge yourself further though then there will always be another opportunity. Next time you have a Chinese, try a different dish or more balks💪 you got this xx

Try not to beat yourself up my sweet, you've done excellently and the imporvememts you're making are noticeable to everyone. Keep rocking this recovery girly because you've come so far from when I saw your first video. It's incredible! You've got my support all the way. @linnea81435 жыл бұрын
Ellie Campbell Hi! I know I can’t speak for her but I’ll just tell you from my experience. What helped for me was to watch inspirational youtubers like Elzani or Rebecca Leung to know that I’m not the only one. And for me, I just listened to my body and always told myself that I want to enjoy life as it is and never have to worry again. And of course, take one thing at a time, challenge yourself! I would always try to eat stuff I was afraid of and after some time, I could eat it without hesitation! I promise you that bloating and other mental problems will go away, as soon as you start eating normally the metabolism will speed and you can eat more without gaining as much weight as you would when you didn’t eat that much!
