good video, chris is underutilized cause he's articulate which i enjoy in this kind of thing. i like to know the rationale behind adding each ingredient, what flavor it brings, why its this kind of flour or whatever and not the other, what happens to it throughout cooking, how its interacting with other stuff, etc. chris does this well
@p_eople6789
@p_eople6789 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, you summarized why I always liked Chris' quiet intense instruction. He brings a lot more to the 'why' of each process and makes the video more interesting versus entertaining for a Brad video. Now and again he has a relateable gripe that makes me feel better that I'm not as great of a cook as these BA folks. Also loved learning new things like "carapace" in his lobster video.

You should be watching America's Test Kitchen, not the hippy, immature play kitchen of Bon Apetite. These kids are so not professionals. I guarantee their parents bribed BA into hiring them. Can't stand young, know-it-alls pretend to be experts. Shame on BA for stooping this low and hiring inexperienced, unprofessional kids to run their channel. Sorry kids, I won't be watching any more of your kitchen play dates.

Made these for my whole dorm floor and they liked them! They were savory and you can definitely taste the chocolate! At first it was hard to get the feel of when they were done but once you get into it you’re flying! I did use less coconut oil and upped the chocolate. Didn’t have the ingredients to make the crunchy topping and that’s what this needed. One of the girls on my floor almost cried she was so happy! She has a gluten allergy and she loved these.

Dear Chris, my dream is to make Morning Cupcakes. Cake - Rolled oats, banana, salt, honey, water, butter, vanilla extract, dried fruit. Buttercream - Rice pudding as buttercream frosting (don't even know if that's possible but would be groundbreaking to actually make rice pudding behave as frosting) Toppings - cinnamon dust and pieces of sorted nuts. please change the ingredients, just wishing to use all breakfast-y ingredients styled as a cupcake.

The whole buckwheat is the only thing that I'm not sure I could find at any ol supermarket. And for that, I'd just have to go to the health food store or supermarket with a bigger health aisle. :) When I bought "fancy flour" like spelt or buckwheat, flax seeds etc. for the first time a few years ago, I didn't think I'd use it much. But since, I've found many recipes and use them a lot. I think it's great that they sometimes introduce us to rather unusual ingredients. :)

BrokenSymmetry Gay people can have kids too, lmao. That aside, I don’t think there’s anything that makes him seem gay

Chicken Fingers yeah I know, it’s just that he has a wife too lmao. I’m gay, idk if you are, but usually gay guys are really damn good at telling if someone else is. It’s his voice, mannerisms, his excessive use of the word “like” even as a middle-aged man, and the fact that he used to work in the fashion industry haha

I really hope that Gaby gets her own segment. She seems so nice and to have well reasoned opinions on food.

My favorite shape of waffle is Texas. I don't know if any other state does it, but a lot of the hotels here have Texas shaped waffle makers and that's easily my favorite.

Square waffles are where it’s at. My grandma made waffles every weekend for all the grandkids. It was the first “appliance” my grandparents purchased when they got married ~ 70 years ago. This iron is still in my family it needs a new cord but I’m gonna try and get it fixed.
