I am completely the opposite. IMO if you put lettuce on a sandwich, you should probably just go ahead and rinse off the seasoning and condiments in a bucket of dishwater. Just completely eliminates all flavor. Beyond that, there's nothing more fun than rapid-fire blasting your lunchmates with pickles and onions shot off your sandwich from a lettuce slip-n-slide lubed up with mayo and BBQ sauce. I mean, it's not like a ketchup-on-a-hotdog level offense, but I will quietly judge you and maybe make a louder than needed comment to my wife about you.

I love the beginning when Chris explains the recipe development approach -- BA's Best taking more time and having more extravagant ingredients, but then this, when he's thought about time - tired midweek dinners - and more pantry ingredients. Wonderful! I love the videos, but this is what I really appreciate about BA's recipes. So thoughtful. I know when I'm looking for something that these guys have considered all the extra details, not just the food on its own. Same with Molly & Rapo's pasta when she asked pointed out the 12 oz bag of pasta - it would have made more sense to have an 8 oz or 16 oz recipe so you could do it twice, or use the whole packet and not have an awkward amount left over.

@J R Since most pastry is just flour, butter, and water. When I make vegan pastry I just substitute vegetable fat shortening which is usually a blend of soya bean and coconut oil. This is in NZ, but I assume you can get similar stuff everywhere. For me finding good vegan replacements for eggs are the worst!

But I didn’t see him add the yogurt to the mixture itself. Maybe I missed it. I thought he just made a yogurt aioli kind of sauce to add to the finished burgers, which that’s so easy to replace. I’ll have to watch again. I mean if he did add it to the mix, just add any of the vegan options, treeline cashew spread, kitehill plain yogurt. But isn’t it nice when a chef make something vegan wo us having to veganize all the time. Also to me it’s acknowledging that this movement exist ✌🏼🌱

Brondelle Cummins imagine being so closed minded that you truly believe that vegetarian food doesn’t taste good 😂
@brondellecummins43145 жыл бұрын
@@Kyiecutie Vegetarian food is great, but when we start getting into 3x processed imitations of meat, that's where I draw the line. I love veggies, I love fruits, but when we start using names of things I can't find on the ground or in a tree or bush, we got an issue. Vegan diets that consist of these processed foods can be as bad or worse than a normal omnivore's diet.
