Where did y'all get this hypothetical narrative that somehow applies exclusively 2 Will & based on absolutely nothing @ that? It's called projecting & you could apply this principle 2 anybody who's ever started an altercation. But it's a silly & limited 1, bc Chris WOULDN'T have gone off script 2 disrespect Tyson's wife. Nor would Tyson or Dwayne have done so regarding Will's wife, bc real men lead w respect 2 those great & small & demand the same in return. What is factual here is Will SELECTED the 1 who was running his mouth.

This is the most savage, the most brutal piece of stand-up that I’ve ever heard. Every time I listen to this I think of what Will Smith was feeling when HE first saw and listened to it. The pain of this public humiliation must have been devastating. And the real hurt to Smith comes from the fact that Chris Rock was simply saying what everyone else was thinking. Jada has taken Will Smith for a fool and completely humiliated him on the world stage. Then Smith took his frustrations out on the smallest guy in the room - like a coward. “Revenge is a dish best served cold,” is the old saying. Chris Rock waited for a year and then had his. And it was brilliantly done.

The moment he made the decision to walk up on stage and slap someone he knew couldn’t fight back in front of one of the biggest annual events there is, over a woman who very clearly doesn’t share his level of affections, he lost my sympathy immediately. It’s also not the first time someone got physically assaulted for annoying Will Smith. If I remember correctly, he was having some kinda argument with a promoter and set his bodyguard on him. (Feel free to fact check me on this, I’m open to being proven wrong) It’s an extra slap in the face (…) when you realize Will once said “I don’t believe in violence as the answer to violence”.
