Here's my tip - It could take longer if watery veg used. What I would do on a big pie next time it loosely cover the top with foil - bake 3/4 of the way then remove the foil to cook the top (all after the blind bake).

Its nine oclock in the morning here in kansas City and I start the day with your channel. We always have leftover mixtures kind of like this at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can almost smell and taste yours. Waste not,want not. Am sure going to try that pastry. I also make an end of the garden casserole when I'm getting the last bit of veggies before winter comes,maybe more than once. You just keep the good recipes and ideas coming. Love ❤️ them.

@@BackyardChefIt was delicious. I learned all that from my Irish and Scottish parents. My husband's favorite meal was all veggies, fried okra, fried potatoes, fried squash, sliced fresh tomatoes,cucumbers and onions. Granted probably not the healthiest as far as today's thinking. But I used bacon and lard. My father taught us to eat what is set before you and ask no questions for your stomach sake. He never had a cholesterol problem. Pardon me for rambling on. Sometimes, just ask my daughter, I get too much info out there. But I love my life and wouldn't trade it with any millionaire in the world. Forgive me for this life history.

We make end of the season salsa - different tale on the same thing... And Friday night supper is always different - consisting of whatever is left over in the 'frig.
@MS-lh3oh15 сағат бұрын
@@maryannehibbard5686I save whatever veggies are left after the meal and if there is not enough for another meal, I freeze them to use in a soup. When I have enough little baggies I make my soup. There's not much if any throwaways at my house. And I do that in every aspect of my life.
