Michelle Phillips intentionally broke up a family which shows she's basically a selfish person. Nothing like befriending the woman whose husband you want to take. He was such a scoundrel she was probably glad to be rid of him! Jeff's mom is the hero of the story for not letting that get her down . Good to see forgiveness Reigns in your family and the children are grounded oh, God knows the odds were against that. I think had Michelle not been so beautiful and Famous, she wouldn't be getting such a pat on the back for her behavior. But all's well that ends well!

This was after her fundamentalist period in the 70s and early 80s when all secular music was of the devil. Anyway she’s 74, and I just asked her to tell me her first memory of them. “California Dreamin” was her first encounter and “their sound was so unique and always recognizable. What a sweet relationship you have with him! May I say, Chynna, one of the things I love best about you is your willingness to publicly stand by Mackenzie when she revealed what happened with your dad. I really appreciated that as well. Because I know from first hand experience that NO ONE would ever reveal what mckenzie revealed.Unless it were true. Being an incest survivor is the last taboo. I also don't believe that you can hold people responsible for things they have done at various times in their lives, IF they have transformed, into someone entirely different at the later and last stages of their lives. I watched Mackenzie helping someone on a talk show to get counseling. Mackenzie was so sincere and vulnerable, but completely focused on the talk show guest who she was attempting to help. Listening to her, I felt very sorry that the only thing the media had made anyone aware of was that she had drug issues. Never did any media address the why. She had been marginalized into a tiny box that contained nothing except "drug user", until they gave her incest revelation publicity. But again, nothing beyond the label. I've not heard of any follow up, what is she doing now, how is she doing now? I know she was very sincere as an advocate for people who have psch trauma. It would be great to hear how she's doing, what she's doing, etc.

Hi Chynna, these little reminiscing sessions about the rock n roll experiences of the 60's and 70's are so important. The ridiculous number of talented people from those days - including the legends who were still around from previous decades - and the stories about them are so important to give future generations a real insight into that era. It's rock n roll history that will soon be forgotten if not documented in the way you're doing it. That talent is leaving us by the week and soon there'll be nobody left to give us the behind the scenes stories of what life was like in Los Angeles for those gifted musicians. Did your mother ever meet Morrison, Joplin, Hendrix, (other than at Monterey Pop) on and on, and would she share some of those stories. Have a great day and thanks!

🍭 l loved seeing the photos of Chynna and her dad and mom ! SO sweeet. You and your brother are amazing and so funny. I am sixty six and we all loved the Mama’s And Papa’s BIG time. Their music was everywhere l went. I was raised in Long Beach, Cal. Blessings girl, praying for you and your family. PS my dad always ate ketchup on his eggs. 🌹

Your brother looks so much like your Dad. It’s amazing how large your family actually is. I always thought of you as an only and you’re far from that. It’s wonderful how close you are with them. Peace of Christ

This is so Malachi 4:6 "And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers." So beautiful hearing these precious family stories! This is so much on the heart of God to bring families back to a place of peace and joy!
