*Lightning Storm* is not the same as *Raigeki* , its more like *Lightning Vortex* without the discard because the monsters that get destroyed have to be in Attack Position *{::>_

That Gizmeck card is going RIGHT into my true king dino deck. It's a free summon, a fire so I can special Agnimazud with it, AND its level 9 for the VFD play. That's awesome

Number 4 could potentially be a useful link for Cyber Angels since they have several recycling effects, a ritual spell that can shuffle GY monsters into the deck instead of tributing, 2 negate effects that require rituals in your GY, and Natasha's self-resurrection/monster steal effect that requires you to banish another ritual from your GY. Summon a Cyber Angel in one of its pointed zones, draw 2 cards, potentially set up your GY while keeping what you need on hand. Not something that totally redefines the archetype or anything, but a neat little side option to help mill your deck and get the cards you need out earlier - something that's absolutely essential for any Ritual-based deck due to the very nature of Ritual monsters.

The problem with your number one slot is still that chain burn summons 3 ojama tokens to your side of the field. Also Lair of Darkness like Infernoid or pure variant can still play around with a token on your side of the field. Same with Dinos which have an additional protection from destruction for the token.

I like how Gizmek is Level 9 and Dinos usually play with Shaddolls and Xyz in the extra monster zone, and since Lythosagym is at 1 and I also play the fire True King. Calamities can be Summoned much more easily!

i would say put some notes into ignister, dark templar allows a link 5-6 turn 1 summon, a lot of recycle and firephoenix has a strong eff + water leviathan

I made a deck with the new gizmeck card and some level 9 valkyrie thats just a draco monster, do ib stuff youll have a continuous spell so you tribute that to summon the valk and then summon the gizmeck for calamities. It was inconsistent as hell as you could imagine but the deck was just trying to make a ridiculous borad once every 10 games.

I'm really only excited about the new Gizmek card because it's more free link fodder for Crusadia, which I want to put together again. Lightning Storm is also on my radar, but it's going to be far too expensive for my budget I know what much right now. Plunder Patrol also seems fun, but I don't know about it as of yet since a lot of the exclusive archetypes, like Time Thief, seem to fall flat.

Guess I'm using Gizmek Kaku, the Supreme Shining Sky Stag in my Cyber Dragon deck. It essentially has Cyber Dragon Infinity's effect, (albeit restricted to the extra monster zone) whilst having an extremely good summoning condition. Plus it's a machine type.

There are some degenerate combos with this and Crystron or Predaplant, but that's after we get those. The last one I saw involved Ib which is fortunately banned by now, but it ended on 3 Dragun of Red-Eyes from just one card (using Muddy Mudragon to fusion summon). Replace Dragun with the next best thing (probs shaddolls) and you've got a very solid card in the form of cross-sheep as support

@@drearydoll6305 except it's ocg only just until March. We are getting both Predaplant and Crystron and you can totally fuse shaddolls instead of dragun to end up on an equally degenerate board. You do need linkross in there at some point but we are getting that too

With Cross-Sheep, you could for example, Summoner Monk, to summon a Level 4 monster from the deck, then Link them up to make Cross-Sheep, Instant fusion, with the effect of Cross-Sheep get back a level 4 monster, and then Link to a Link 4 Monster? Like Borresword? Did I get that right? I'm utter crap at playing Links But that seems like a strong combo to me. Edit - Since Cross-Sheep doesn't negate effect, you could use Monk's effect again since it's not a hard once per turn right? So you could end up with a link 5 then? Could someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm super casual and have not touched link monsters hahahaha

Haven’t played yugioh in a while, watching some videos to get back into it, that being said. I don’t get it with lightning storm.. aren’t there counter cards besides judgement to negate normal spells?and if your playing a back row heavy deck wouldn’t you play those types of protective cards?

Not all decks have negations to this type of cards and if they got hit by lightning storm will be terrible. Against a back row player, you will force them to burn one of their negations making a lot easier for you to play in your turn.

Yes, there is solemn judgement. But usually nothing else other than that; people either play monster removal (dinomischus/compulse) monster negations (solemn strike/infinite imperm) or their archtype traps (subterror trap card/altergeist protocol or personal spoofing) most of which are just gonna die to lightning storm. People will know that though, so expect Waking the dragons, artifacts or even Huge Revolution is Over type of shìt after siding.

That might just be for duel links though it's hard to keep track of the rules separately but they're different a little also with how trap monsters don't take up spell slots I think now that's supposed to be a new rule too
