Important: When you take him to the vet make sure they microchip him so if someone else tries to take him to an animal shelter you will be contacted. Also, if you are at all friendly with the neighbors let them know that Cinnabon is your cat.

Yep, worry, worry, worry. Been there, done that. Never again! Good job keeping him in at night. That's the best thing to do, if not totally keeping him inside. Its scary when they don't come home, or come later than usual. Especially w/ wildlife out there. Best to be safe! If he stays in at night, you can feed him breakfast as soon as you get up in the morning. ( Even when mine went out in the day, I only would let him out after he ate his breakfast). Then, once you know he's eaten enough, I would only put a very small amount out, or just a few treats. This way he will be hungry by dinner time after you get home, & he can come in for dinner & stay for the night. No more out after dinner. If he went bk our, he may not return for bedtime, since he's already eaten, so it's a good system to get him on a regular schedule, which they need, & this way once he comes for dinner, you know he's inside, safe for the night. (Even if it's still light out, because come Winter, it wont be by then, but he'll be used to coming in & on a regular schedule 👍). That's a great box. I did the same thing for my ginger boy pictured here w/ me. He was long too, so the under the bed storage box like that was purrrrfect. 😁 He did a good job checking it out. Yep, he knows what its for. Ginger boys are smart ones. 😊😻💙 Also, remember to put an old towel in the carrier for his apot Wedns. (& Maybe take another) just in case. When I took my 2nd kitty I had (after losing Angel to cancer 3 yrs ago) I don't think she'd ever been in a car, ( except whenever she was TNR'd, so probably a bad association). She was so scared, she cried the whole way to the vets, & peed because she was so freaked out. This way IF that happens, (they can get car sick too) you will have another towel for the way home. Sadly, I lost her to cancer as well after only 2&1/2 yrs this past Dec 14th. So when taking her to the vet appts, I played music from"Relax my cat" channel on here on my phone, to help in the car Hope this info helps. 😊

Lately mouth cancers are increasing amongth dogs & cats I've read / heard ! And I'm so convinced that is to do w/ the foods they eat ,we feed ! I wonder if you were told about the cause . Again, so sorry ! I am sure that they felt lots of love from you & lived happily w/ you despite the 2nd one's short life ,even ! I can tell that you're very caring ,sweet person !!! 💜💙❤💞😻

@@spark_6710 I've seen those pet doors in rural Canada. Never once have I heard of another animal coming in. If a human wants to come in he can use a glass cutter on the backdoor. But, far fewer robberies happen in rural areas, I believe.

@@VijayKumar-dn4pz I pet sat for a family recently who had a small pet door and they routinely had raccoons coming into the house, and that with 2 dogs, one very small and one quite large, which apparently didn't deter them. The door was in the laundry room primarily for the 2 cats, the big dog was far too large to be able to use it, and the raccoons would come in to eat the pets' food, which was kept in the laundry room, and do who knows what else. They weren't too concerned about it, but there's no way that I would tolerate that.

You need at least 4 inches in his litter pan. Or so that's what veterinarians recommend, so I keep that much in mine all the time.

You should get a night light for the litter box area. My sister, she has one and it helps the cats to see at night, sometimes they get a bit confused on where to go. Cinnabon is a cutie..
