It does, doesn't it?! I've been keeping up hope for so long, but it's only been getting worse.. sometimes I just wonder why keep fighting if nothing changes. In the song it says "I'm terrified that I won't make it through the night", to me it's more like I'm terrified that I WILL make it through the night, because that'd mean I'd have to fight another day and at this point I'm just tired of fighting.. nothing ever changes and it's so exhausting

This has got to be one of my favorite CS songs to date. The music, the lyrics, everything is phenomenal. “Does hope hurt more than giving up?” is the line that made me emotional every time I heard it in the chorus. Cause that’s something I struggle with. Sometimes hoping for something better and it just seeming and continuing to be bleak for so long, takes a toll on you. And then eventually that hope becomes the pain and hurt that we struggle with. Truly just beautiful. This song is so relatable and it makes me think of times in life when no one wanted to understand my pain and people just ignore me for who I am as a person and they gossip about me behind my back the most crude things. I believed the lie that I was fighting alone my entire life and it was up to me to make a name for myself and no one cares for who I am. However, I learned an overwhelming fact in life and this made me cry more than I ever have in my life. I am not seeking to convert someone right now to Christianty but this is just my story and something is written on my heart to write this for anyone who is reading this. As a believer in Christ this fact that brought me to tears is that I don't have to fight alone anymore and I am loved more than I would ever know and my life is precious. All I have to say is if there is anyone who is hurt in life and carries heavy burdens there is a man who can take those burdens and put them on himself for you cause He truly loves you more than the world would ever but you have to repent and trust in Jesus alone to be saved. The world forgets you once you are gone but God will never forget you cause He loves you and forgives you as long as you forgive yourself. I know I wrote a bit much but if there is anyone who is in pain or hurt just remember you are not alone and remember this as well that those weaknesses you have is what makes you strong and unique. - For when I am weak then I am strong. - (John 3:16 NLT & 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 NLT.) 🙏👑
