Citroën C5 Aircross. Maniobra de esquiva.
Hemos obtenido un resultado muy bueno con el C5 Aircross. No sólo es un vehículo muy estable pese a tener una suspensión blanda, sino que además responde de forma muy precisa y controlada ante los movimientos bruscos e imprevistos.
En la primera pasada no es fácil atinar siempre a la primera con la velocidad de 77 km/h, como nos ocurrió en esta ocasión en la que al final pasamos a 73 km/h. No hubo sorpresas ni la sensación de que pudiera haberlas a más velocidad.
Superamos la prueba prácticamente con limpieza entrando a 79 km/h. La trayectoria del C5 Aircross no se descompone. El control electrónico de estabilidad hace su trabajo de manera impecable. El conductor sólo percibe su actuación por la forma en la que el giro se va adaptando progresivamente a las órdenes con el volante.
A más velocidad, incluso a 84 km/h, las reacciones siguen siendo muy fáciles de controlar y la estabilidad se mantiene inalterada. Se producen pequeños rebotes de la carrocería que en ningún momento suponen un problema. Cuando el vehículo detecta que se produce una situación de peligro, se activan las luces de emergencia, pero no las de frenado, como ocurre en otros coches.

El C5 Aircross no es un vehículo que se pueda catalogar de ágil, pero responde con obediencia a las órdenes del conductor hasta un margen alto de exigencia. La carrocería se balancea ostensiblemente, pero los controles electrónicos intervienen sin brusquedad para mantener al coche estabilizado sin entorpecer la marcha.

Yeah, according to 2019 JDPower statistics, Peugeot is the most reliable car manufacturer in the UK (cars made in 2015-2019), PSA as well as Renault really stepped up their game.

arekb5 yet still in many countries people say that french cars are unreliable. Say that to my 18 years old Xsara Picasso which doesn’t know what rust is (wasn’t garaged at all) and it’s 2.0 hdi doesn’t know what oil leaks/spills are :) yesterday a VW Passat sedan 1,9tdi overtook me and later on I had to overtake it because it was having harsh time going uphill additionally emitting huge clouds of dark smoke 😂 lol

@@arkasza2007 well, previous car a Renault 19 diesel agrees with what you are saying and my father's Renault 19 1.7 from 1991 proves they are reliable (not gonna mention my C4 HDi as it is too new) but my 1996 Passat TDI has to disagree. It is also very very reliable and going strong.

Comprobado y demostrado que el chasis EMP2 es una referencia... Entre los mejores... La prueba del Peugeot 508 creo que podría lograr más velocidad que esos 80km/h de entrada... El test lo hicieron en modo normal(recalcado en el vídeo)... Y el coche en modo sport cambia mucho... Para mi esa prueba está incompleta... Es posible que la velocidad de entrada podía ser mayor... Bien por este Citroën y bien por el grupo PSA... Muy buenas pruebas km77... Felicidades

Hola, José: Que no mostremos intentos hechos en otros modos no significa que no los hagamos. Probamos todos los modos de conducción y publicamos el mejor resultado obtenido. En el C5 Aircross, el efecto del programa Sport es mínimo, no afecta a la suspensión, porque no es regulable, ni a la rapidez de la dirección, porque la desmultiplicación no es variable. Tan solo hace que el acelerador y la transmisión respondan con algo más de rapidez. Saludos. M.G.

@@yurisirotin7706 anyway others in that class measured 16-17 and I think that Citroen will not lie about this fact because you can measure any time to confirm that or not. Could be difference with under engine plastic covers or without I dont know but anyway... suspension is perfect and the car is amazing. I have covered only 3.500km so far but probably one of the best car I have ever driven. (So far Toyota Yaris, Skoda Octavia, Skoda Superb, Chevrolet Cruze, VW Golf, Toyota Corolla not in particular order)

@@tamerkarate things i like, handling, chassis, looks, interior design. Things i don't like, sound system, auto gear box( i will get it checked coz I think there is something wrong with mines brain ). Honestly today if I was buying again i would go for the cheapest one with only the heated seats option and manuel with if possible 180hp engine. That would be a delightful car to drive, surprisingly the car handles better than %90 of the sedans i drove, has a very nice steering, it would then be an actually fun car.

That means to say the new Progressive Hydraulic Suspension has its perks after all. The car has soft, but stable ride. It was a a pity that Citroen abandoned the previous generation of Hydroactive suspension especially when it was so performant, reliable and durable. Perhaps this new suspension could be a consolation for the devoted customers.

Amazing , i cannot believe how good it actually is. I expected understeer for the soft suspension. Had a citroen with soft sospension. and it was a struggle to corner whell with agressive driving.

May I ask you what Citroen was it? I was driving xsara Picasso with stock shock absorbers and the suspension was seriously soft and the corners (especially when loaded with 5 people and luggage) were a nightmare to go through. Now I’ve changed oil shocks to gas filled shock absorbers and the suspension is way stiffer and it takes corners more safely so that might be a nice tip to achieve better handling.

I Had a Picasso too ,2.0 HDI , i switched to gas shocks but it was almost the same . But you get used to it , if it had ESP would be much better . Oance i was about to rollover in a big roundabout , winter tires in the summer at 80 km/h . I miss that car because i have a lot of memories , once i did almost 7000 Km in one week . @@arkasza2007

Hace dos semanas se me cruzo un jabalí en la carretera y tuve que dos volantazos para esquivarlo. Así que quien dice que la prueba de esquiva (o prueba del alce) no vale para nada, les digo, que no tienen ni puñetera idea, o son muy interesados.
