This compact Tomahawk is a great choice for anyone wanting a lightweight hatchet or tomahawk that can easily fit in a backpack or carried on the belt!

I see you’re in my area of TN. Nice to see a local video. I’ve bought quite a few of the RMJ hawks and also have this CRKT Jenny Wren. I’m partial to my real Jenny Wren but having the CRKT version is nice to own and use.

You said "roughing it in the woods...". Well...I once was "roughing it" by a forsaken mangrove swamp. Three years!😢 One day I was just helping out an older water taxi captain with grueling pile driving dock work. We went to a nuts & bolts specialty store and I saw a little Tramontina hatchet from Brazil .I liked it and the captain bought it for me. It was $13 (pre-2019 disease). The handle is made from tropical hardwood, fastened with resin to the head and it bulges close to the head for a carving grip! It has a small hammer head and a nail puller, for like roofing tacks. Haven't used it but years later I saw Blackie Thomas 's two videos on modifying a Vaughan hatchet for wood carving and mine is soo close! Just imagine, people in the Amazon jungle rough it with this hatchet and a machete -- nothing fancy. Someday I will finish hand grinding the edge...

I really like the concept of carrying an axe or tomahawk head because it's more compact, and all you have to do it find or make a quick handle in the field, and it good to go.

From my understanding the mini Jenny Ren and others like it, or to some degree intended for a Filipino Kali Style of fighting

That was awesome and I'll tell you why. You've had similar tools in the past, maybe outgrew them ,you put them down. Reviewing a kind of tool your not exactly in love with makes you trustworthy. I still love tomahawks and that was a review I trust.. More tomahawk reviews please sir! Thanks man I love it!

My brother thank you so much for all of your kind words! I do my best to give honest reviews, and I actually have a review coming up on a popular knife that I’m just totally not digging lol. Might catch some heat and cancel culture lol. I personally own the Cold Steel Rifleman’s Tomahawk! I just pulled it out and started busting the rust off of it! I’ll make one and sone others here in the upcoming weeks! Thanks again my brother!

I love CRKT but the size doesn't seem to lend well to actual use. Love the scales and shape.. Just think a longer handle would make it way more useful. Thanks for the video!

Hows the handle ?

It was a little loose after hitting some very hard in season in the woods. It does not look easy to repair. I would savor this hatchet for smaller and Greenwood.
