The C.G.I. got better during the later episodes but overall it was not super high end. Good story writing and acting made up for it.

@@_Hissatsu I just looked at the list of episodes in Seasons 3 and 4 on IMDB. You are right. 3 and 4 were excellent seasons. When Clark puts on that ring and goes wild in Metropolis, robbing and destroying stuff I thought it was cool. Superman isn't the boy scout everyone thought he was. Season 4 episode 1 was the first time he really flew. Not bad CGI when he is with his Mom and hears the crystal, then takes off flying. One of my favorite scenes. A lot happened in that episode.

Fucking crazy how they made him do that in a TV Show with an ok budget and in 2004 lol but overall when I think of Superman I think of Tom Welling. Sure Henry Cavill is probably the perfect looking Superman accurate to the comics but Tom's Clark Kent was developed very well and made him a more likable person

Smallville is the best show ever. Tom Welling was getting $350,000.00 per episode for quite a few seasons. I loved when he tore the door from Lex's Jet to retrieve one of the 3 Gems of Knowledge. The episode when Clark died and was brought back to life to destroy that missile was impressive too. He leaped up to that missile. Not sure the Flash can pull that type of stuff off all by himself. The Man of Steel comes back to life when killed it seems. The baddest man ever. I still watch each and every episode from time to time. When I discovered the show I binged all 10 seasons, straight through. Took a few breaks and slept a bit. But it really grabbed me.

(smallville Lex Luthor is not very sharp) But the OTHER episode I mentioned was when Clark was Kal-El for a brief time and leaped into the sky to disable the missile. I saw my grammar and edited it so I wouldn't get called out for an error and possible mistake by a true Smallville historian. You must have read it before I did the edit. Nice catch!

During the early seasons, the producers were saying we would never see Superman or a Superman cape and we would never see Clark fly. I wish I could find those articles. I agree with you completely btw. No superhero show can replace it. There were a couple of semi-boring episodes but mostly every single episode was great. As far as Clark's speed, remember the episode when he was playing football and had to throw the ball, run to save Chloe and the run back to the football field to his original position to win the game? Flash does run faster than Clark but it was still impressive.

Charles Mcgehee Yeah I had a magazine called 'Superman Over The Years' or something like that back in '06 and I read that thinking how disappointing it would be to never get to see Clark become Superman. Also I definitely remember that episode Clark really pushed himself to pick up that much speed I was impressed too. I'd say seasons 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are my absolute favorite seasons especially 4 and 6.

This Show is old AF but in some aspect's their depiction of Super Speed and Strength is still better then today's Show's its quite funny. (For example the Super Speed of Clark feels way Faster and more Epic then the CW's The Flash granted the Flash get's the we move at Super Speed with them part right but the sense of Speed is way better with Clark)
