I really liked the entrance exam because of the amount of characters that it introduced and especially the repeat test taker that his entire mission was to have rookies fail, I liked our starting cast and while we don't get to see much of Leorio I grew to appreciate hos character if nothing else for his backstory and motivation; I also really liked greed Island, it felt like a really fleshed out and consistent landscape, I really liked the idea of it being locked to specifically more powerful characters so not only does that inherently just add stakes to every encounter that you have within the game, but from a video game perspective that adds the perfect variety and level of challenge that you need to make it feel like a proper video game, and we got to spend such a reasonable amount of time in the setting that I would really like to see maybe a Hunter × Hunter side game, MMO or the like, based off of Greed Island, maybe the nen battles don't have to be as large of a focus as what the card play itself would be but either way I think it would be a cool concept to see someone at least attempt to realize I'd like to see the further evolution of nen as a power system in general, I think it's really unique that like even the Chimera ants were able to learn and then teach that skill to each other and still have wildly different displays of that strength, and I would love to further see not only extensions of the powers of the characters that we already see but maybe new specialist characters introduced that we haven't had a chance to meet yet who will either shake up our understanding of the interactions between the six powers or at the very least give us another chance to simp over someone

Given that it took him about 4 years to make 10 chapters, and the better part of a year to complete 401 which he tweeted about, I think we will be lucky to get even another 10 chapter block in the 2020s. It will never be completed, maybe even this arc won't be completed. For me HxH is about as over as ASOIAF.

Togashi is the George R. R. Martin of manga. I understand and empathize with his back injury. I just wish he would make up his mind about whether he wants to finish it himself or get help, since he seems to flip-flop on that in social media whenever we hear from him. It has to be hard to leave his baby to someone else so they can finish it, but at this point, what's sadder: never finishing it or having someone else draw it? Also his favourit video games are Dragon Quest* not Dragon age

Well Togashi is better than Martin. HxH progress is painfully slow indeed, but sometimes Togashi still draw and publish a few new chapters. While Martin published previous GoT book more than decade ago.

@Archanfel Technically, Martin has released 11 chapters, some with decent length, so saying we got nothing is not entirely accurate. The comparison was more directed at their stubbornness with finishing everything themselves when both are struggling in their own ways. Togashi's wife is a mangaka herself and created Sailor Moon and has drawn chapters in the past, so hopefully he will delegate that work to her.

On a side note, hearing something from so many years ago so much sadness for Togashi, I really hope the best for him. 'm a pharm major and gene therapies are evolving like nothing before, so I dream of a day, in the future, being some Novartis project head, getting in touch with him ad saying "Togashi Sensei, we're developing a experimental treatment for chronic pain, I would be honored if you joined the trial" :')

Its a good thing that he at least finished Yu-Yu Hakusho, but with how things are going with HunterXHunter, might be best to have someone else he knows well to keep the series going and he gives off notes and future plans. Its a very similar story to George RR Martin with Game of Thrones, he will likely never complete any of the books he is working on and just needs an understudy or so to just take over for him.
