This is EXCELLENT... I am a 74 year old guy and this is something that really implements staying in shape. This has become an integral part of my morning stretch and daily warm up routine. ENERGIZING......Gets the blood moving and lymphatic flowing...I add Breathing, lots of water, clearing the mind of nonsense...

After a lower back injury, the first I've ever experienced, I sought Miranda's/Essentric's program. I'm an early riser and have seen Miranda's classical stretch program on my local PBS station for years. I'm an athlete, who has practiced yoga for 30+ years, plays polo and am a practiced equestrienne (Jumping horses). This connective Tissue workout was EXACTLY the recipe my lower back needed. I started slowly, each week my back felt better. Now, 5 weeks later, my body craves this quick stretching workout!!!

Ive been hesitant to return to a yoga regimen, because i have a vulnerable lower back that threatens to become a major issue. Yoga's extension and compression is wonderful but i found my lower back problems increased with some of the exercises. And although I've had wonderful periods of daily jogging and yoga, I've tried to rely on minimal exercise i got while gardening, childcaring, etc. So now I'm old and carrying 30 # and weak. Your comment is inspiring to me. Not just bc youve commended Miranda re: lower back success from this routine, but because you obviously enjoy yourself in physically demanding exercise and activity! I want to feel empowered, graceful, strong again! Thank you.

I have always been a rough and tumble guy but I never in my life heard anyone talk about facia health or stretching. I learned so much in 30 mins than I ever had listening to any of the so called trainers or experts. Instantly I felt and connected to how I was feeling and what she was saying! Thank you!!! This is so great--she has changed my life. I lost 12 pounds and have never been stronger or more flexible. I have no aches or pains anywhere since I started doing her classical stretches.

I've been doing this for almost 2 weeks. Great way to start the day, and I notice a huge difference in how I feel both physically and emotionally. I love Miranda's voice/personality. And I LOVE how she says "you're going to feel great the rest of the day! Yay!" :) She's right! It sets you up to take on the day!

I’m not even a senior and I’m doing these exercises from now on. Sitting all day at work during the pandemic is making me so stiff. I have to say, though, even though western medicine didn’t learn about exercises to build up soft tissues until 15 years ago, Eastern medicine has, for centuries! Some of these movements resemble Tai Chi, except these are easier because I’m focusing on only a few joints at a time, which makes balance not so difficult to maintain compared to when your entire body is moving slowly using complex movements. I do like how you explain in detail which connective tissues are being targeted, and how. So informative. Thank you!

I'm 53 and I've done her exercises every day for 5 weeks. I don't find them easy but I do feel better all day. It's amazing to hear other women continuing their flexibility to their 70s. I hope to maintain that when I get there.

I am 52 and I feel the same way as you...I started doing these exercises a few months ago and have not stopped! Yes, they are challenging and amazing how I feel better too! I did the 14-day free trial and I am considering the membership because there are so many more workouts that include variety and a schedule is provided! Yay, us for doing the work🎉

I am thrilled to find Classical Stretch on KZbin. I own all the DVDs from Season 8 through 13 plus Aging Backwards but I appreciate being able to do my daily stretches with Miranda when traveling!

I have to agree with you ! I have been doing this exact workout each day for 3 weeks now, and my pain from past herniated discs has gone from a 10 + to under 5 ! I move more easily, and my energy has gone through the roof !

Having suffered for a year with achilles and wrist problems, my Mom introduced me to Miranda and these exercises..... Felt results after just 2-3 weeks. It also improved all the tension that I held in my shoulders and neck. I've been telling all my friends about this workout. you need to be consistent and you'll get results. I am 65 and also a former ballerina. Thank you for sharing this work out. Been watching you for years but cant get you now on tv unless I buy cable. I have realy missed you. I am 58 next month, and in pretty good shape. I walk, hike, and do yoga regularly. After ONE time doing this video, I was walking on the beach and saw my shadow and thought "What slinky hip movements I have, wooo!" She tells it: it is a whole different kind of workout.

@@mangog8277 Yes, just be gentle. I was scared to do it because all the spine bending or tucking in but as long as you are gentle and deliberate it is great. What disks did you herniate? Mine were c5 c6 and c7.

I just began and look forward. However for myself laying on back even I experience going into spasm from back issues no doctors etc could address why had such severe lock down of back . My hopes is to figure how to do this all and become lifetime daily succeeding to health. I’m 56 year old woman

Great stretch! It definitely feels different and kind of uncomfortable (but not painful!) at first, because this is a unique workout and not how most of us move during our regular day. I felt relief from tight muscles and I noticed a difference immediately. Thank you for making this available for free on KZbin!

After an archilles-tendon operation, I kind of accepted that my fluidity in my ankle was not coming back... until I found your video. This feels so good with the focus on the connective tissue that felt blocked in my ankle. Thank you! So graceful and yet strong!

Thank you for posting on KZbin, Miranda!! Ever since I first discovered you several years ago on my local PBS fundraiser, I’ve wanted to start doing your gentle workouts. Due to many back injuries over the past 50 years, as well as a labral hip tear, I haven’t been able to do my old favorite exercises. I’ve resisted surgeries because I know they can ultimately cause more weakness, or harm, than good. I am so glad to discover your video, today! I’m expecting great improvements - all over my body!! 😄

Yes she is on PBS Monday through Thursday & Saturday 6AM, No Friday, but 2 hrs on Sunday, 6A-7A & 8A-9A. Yippee

I love these stretches and the way you teach them, it's a great full body fascia workout! I have to point out however that I was surprised about 20 minutes in when you said that 'we didn't even know connective tissue existed until about 10-15 years ago'?! It was first written about (that we know of) in the 1600's, Andrew Taylor Still worked with it in the 1800's, Ida Rolf in the 60's on, just to mention a few... it is being studied in more vigorous ways in the past 20 years with research, but I would not say we didn't know it existed, merely that we are seeing it in new ways.

These exercises are fabulous. I stay active and have learned that it is so important to stay flexible to help prevent injury. I do one of her workouts every morning. Occasionally I wake up a bit stiff from the previous days adventures, all I need is a 30 minute stretching workout and I am ready to go.

Miranda is amazing. I have an 82 yr old woman I take care of and do these exercises with her. She's very inactive and she can do these exercises and they help her. I do them also on my own and they really work. Miranda really knows the b ody and what she's talking about. Thank you Miranda

Just what I need. Have had a 4 years of reduced activity and my body has suffered constant pain and joint problems as a result. Fascia had been explained to a very little degree but this video has gone so far beyond that. Did my first session today and will continue. I will update with my results. Thank you so much Xx

Just a great workout! I can attest to the increased flexibility and lightness. I also believe doing this and the essentrics workouts has made my recovery from a recent surgery faster. I expect to be at my prior fitness level within the next month. I am a 74 yr old youngster. Thanks 😊

Wow...the following day i forgot that i had done the 30 min video class.....i was sore, a very good sore and honestly it was almost effortless. The second day i was a little more sore. Im definitely in on this exercise modality. It is VERY EFFECTIVE. Thank you Miranda !!!

Absolutely wonderful! My knees are better, feet feel better. Stairs are easy just like you said. Even if you don't feel stiff I encourage you to try it.

I double up on them. I like to do 30 minutes of exercise in the morning. I can do 2 of the 12 minute ones, or 3 of the 10 minutes one.

I'm 30 and I LOVE THIS STUFF. I have shared it with so many of my friends and family (thanks Mom). Though they are hesitant to try it, when I hear they waking up with back pain, knee pain, etc. I do my best to share how wonderful this stuff is. loved this stretch workout and I was able to feel where the connective tissue was really tight and need a little bit more love. lower back pain has lessened after doing this workout for entire body. Feel so much more relaxed and muscles not as tight and rigid. After running this weekend this seems to be a great workout to use on my recovery days.

Thank you so much for this! Ironically, today I did a full body fascial treatment with a device that loosens it and was feeling good. This workout popped up when I was done and instead of my usual workout, I did this workout. My fascia really needed this! Looking forward to continuing this and feeling the improvements.

I love this movement and have only been practicing it for a couple of days. I lie still after the movement to feel and listen to my body. A great way to connect with myself. I can feel the blood flow and my whole body connecting to myself.

Miranda, I did this workout today on Essentrics TV. I wish you could have seen me smiling from the satisfying, precise, gentle movements in this powerful workout. It’s hard to express how grateful I am to have discovered your workouts at age 63. After a month, my achy knees and hands feel stronger, my posture is better. I’m starting to have a spring in my step like you said I would. All your teachers are excellent, but my favorite sessions are ones like these, with the gorgeous backdrop of Jamaica and the beautiful music. Bless you bless you!!!

Miranda’s workouts have helped me keep my mobility! Been doing them 12 yrs ago, and I am now 78. The arthritic pain just goes away with these exercises!

I’m so grateful to have found your videos. I heard about essentric’s a few years ago by a lady that teaches it at our community center. But I never followed through. For the last six months I’ve had so much pain in my right shoulder and arm that I could barely sleep at night. Last week, I remembered about the essentric‘s work out the lady had mentioned to me, and I looked it up on KZbin and found your videos. I started doing the shoulder and back pain one last week and it felt so good to be able to gently stretch my shoulder and arm. It felt like it was healing to my body. Today I did this connective tissue work out and I plan to continue doing it. It is so soothing and it feels like natural medicine for my body. Thank you. I can already feel my shoulders loosening up and it gives me hope that I will feel pain free again.

I don't know how this came up on my feed this morning. I've been "aching" to do some sort of exercise but my 56yr old menopausal body felt so stiff and painful. This was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for my needs, as I don't do yoga anymore. Although it didn't make me out of breath, it definitely made me sweat. I love this and will definitely do this every day. I love how the feather and bird movements made me feel, I need a lot more of that. Thank God for this video

Amazing workout, I have been doing it several days now and already am feeling more supple in my shoulders, rump and legs. Until we are 40 our body support us, after 40 we need to support our body. If we do we can all be fit like Miranda when we grow up :-) This is particularly great for horse riders like me. We need both flexibility and firmness to help the horse carry us in corrrect alignment to preserve its body AND ours.

I just started exercising for the first time in 20 years. I have been doing your stretching videos daily and I can't say enough great things. I am 53 years old and my knees aren't great. This was the perfect exercise routine for me. I record daily your videos on DirecTV. I can't believe I found routines that I can actually do and that are making a noticeable improvement in my quality of life. Thank you so much.
