Thanks for the feedback. Generally speaking it is much easier to see the impact in real life. Many times it is difficult to capture by camera depending on the color of the car, lighting, camera, and even the device someone is using to view the video. Glad you were still able to see the difference though. 👍

Meguiars doesnt give the Meguiars Plastic black box anymore 😢 when you buy the Clay surface kit. Used to have a few of those but they broke after open closed so many times. Wish it be included again.

Yes, the Quik Detailer should work with pretty much any clay bar.

That is entirely dependent on the condition of your paint and your desires for it. Polishing is often optional and will have a bigger impact on a restoration and when working on darker colors.

The first question is whether or not the bumpers are painted. The second question is do they have bonded contaminants stuck to them? If the answer to both is yes, then yes you would probably want to also clay the bumpers.

Should you clay before or after a wash?? If it's after, after you've clayed are you ok to wax it for more protection

You clay after washing. Yes, clay does not protect at all it only removes bonded contaminants. If you want to protect you will want to wax after claying.

Do you recommend using the wax on a new vehicle? I read that most of new vehicles come a little bit contaminated from factory.

Since age of a vehicle does not automatically dictate the condition of a vehicle, you should definitely still evaluate the finish of a new car and "feel" for contaminants that clay would remove and also "look" for any swirls or towel marks you may want to remove prior to applying a "wax". Next, you will want to put a good coat of protection on (polymer or hybrid ceramic) and maintain that new vehicle regularly with a good wash and clean, quality accessories. As they say, frequent car care is easy car care 👍

Hey guys, I really need some help. I’ve used your kit countless times. However, I’ve got some white mini dots on my paint and when clayed they will eventually come off but after claying, it creates scratches! This kit has never done this to me before! Any thoughts?

Would be OK to use a 2004 RX 330? I've only used the Quick wax on it for the past four years. Then, would I use polish or carnauba wax? Thank you.

Difficult to guarantee but clay is absolutely what you want to try/use for over spray. 👍

Question I ordered a clay bock kit from a company and just received three clay blocks. As I live 200 kms from an auto shop. Cans I use slightly soapy water as a lubricant.

We recommend a mist and wipe detailer to do this. There is no way of knowing if the lubricity of a car wash solution you have diluted has the appropriate amount of lubricity (too much or too little).

I have a F150 with large stripes on the sides of the truck as well as my hood (basically a sticker), can I use the clay bar on them?

If the decals are flat, shiny, and smooth without any texture it should be fine.

I ran out of the quick detailer and my wife picked up a new bottle on way home from work, stupid question but does the ultimate work the same way or should I go exchange ?

Assuming you are using it as a typical spray detailer, yes it serves the same purpose and is used indentically. Frankly, you might owe your wife because you will likely find the Ultimate is even easier to use and will give a better shine. It also leaves a little protection behind.

@@meguiars just while I've got you attached 12,000mile away, ive got a red mustang and just done the full correction ending up using some autoglym hd wax, we are in total lock down and going to shops to get polish if caught is a $1000-/5000 fine, what would you suggest to top it off with till next wax or whatever Megs you convince me of using, im old sckool and all these spraying and ceramics scare me, cheers mate

Can you explain what you mean by "top it off with"? What exactly are you looking for the product to do?

Can clay baring your car scratch the paint and do you have to polish the paint after words as well?

It is fairly uncommon for clay to scratch a vehicle. It is nothing to fear if you are using the clay as directed with a lot of lubricant. Whether you want to polish or not after clay is really a personal decision based on your desires for your vehicle.

Using clay on your vehicle would be done as an as needed product. If the vehicle is rough to the touch it would be a good time to clay bar your vehicle. When storing a clay bar using a plastic seal-able bag would be best.

Sorry, misread that. 😁 That really is a function of how much contamination the clay is pulling off. Once piece of clay could do one car or even a few, just depends on the condition of the paint. When it gets noticeably dirty and you can't knead it and get a fresh part of the clay it's time to grab a new one.

Is 2 bars of clay enough to do a car ?

More than enough in most cases but the severity of the contaminants and the size of the car of course have an impact as well. The kit is designed to do multiple cars.

If all you have are bonded contaminants (things that fall, stick to the paint, and are rough to the touch) then yes this might be all you need to do. If you have below surface defects like scratches, oxidation, water spots, etc. and want to remove them you will have to do that after claying and before waxing.
