Right whenever im.on the road if I want to drink I will not sleep or stay near truck hotel for me truck keys in lock box
@metaparcel Жыл бұрын
It's not sad, its great he was taken off the road. The sadness of losing your career is nothing compared to the joy of catching them because they would have killed or injured someone eventually. Too many experienced drivers think their shit don't stink and love to point out how amazing of a driver they are. This is probably one such driver who thinks he can drink, drive and make a living all at the same time. Ridiculous.
@jasonmacaro4052 Жыл бұрын
That's how it should be, if you are dumb enough to drive drunk you don't deserve a cdl
@TidalWaveDan Жыл бұрын
@@jasonmacaro4052 yeah. We all know that’s how it should be. What were you hoping to convey with your comment?
@TidalWaveDan Жыл бұрын
@@metaparcel why say it’s not sad? Have you given it some thought? A person’s career and livelihood is riding on his/her ability to get in a commercial vehicle and drive but their addiction reaches a point where they’ll risk it all just for a buzz. Not only putting lives at risk but risking changing his/her life permanently and their families lives if they are simply pulled over. If that’s not sad, you lack empathy on a level I would not be comfortable with.
@benmurawski2 жыл бұрын
The legal alcohol limit for CDL holders should be 0. The fact that whoever's driving that 18-wheeler is drunk is proof of why truckers are only allowed to have alcohol in their trucks if they're transporting it as a shipment.
@airbus-a33010 ай бұрын
it is 0. and abc can only be in trailer, not in the cab. i couldn't even get a silly little souvenir bottle when i parked overnight at area 51 to bring back. read the fmcsr, any detectable amount of alcohol is a minimum 24 hour oos violation for a driver inspection, while the "legal limit" for a charge of dwi/ovwi/dui/etc and prohibited status is 0.04 or consumption within 4 hours of performing a safety sensitive function.

Yup common sense
@chasepatterson20362 жыл бұрын
Actually, what you're referring to in driver school where it says to "turn sharply onto the pavement" is for returning to the road when your wheels are in the dirt. Otherwise, if you try to slowly merge onto the road from the dirt, your tires will rub against the edge of the pavement as they try to get a grip and they could blow out.

LOL, so, if I blow a 0.07, I go home. If I blow a 0.08...........I get 50 years. Makes sense.
@charlesyoung99807 жыл бұрын
So a 200,000 dollar fine and 100 years in jail.. Ok, if that's the case, why would the driver even stop. His life and career are LITERALLY over. So, why not just make a break for it. After all, at least that way he has a slim chance of freedom.

@caseygriffin88786 жыл бұрын
Why not start this kind of judgment first with pedophiles and rapists? Go after the drunk drivers when this kind of punishment is enforced. 5 years for a DUI, but 50 for child molesters and rapists that roam the streets. That sounds like a better start. A driver gets caught with a DUI even without a license they are fucked to never get a CDL for at least a few years and even then no one will hire them, but a fuckin creep only gets minor time with a little probation, get the fuck out!
