As much as I enjoy these videos, I have never felt particularly interested in keeping any reptiles as pets... Mine are rarely hidden during the day. And they display some really interesting social interactions. Once they associate you with food, they will burst out of their enclosure (so careful when opening it up) to get to you and their food, and they get SO EXCITED that fingers are fair game. They are a definite - I have a trip in a 3X2 but a 4X2 would be much better for them.

*Most devastating thing in cinematic history* 😂 Truth spoken here on Clint's Reptiles. I would say it is closely matched by the scene in Dumbo where they take him away from his mom 😩 That still messes me up.

I WANT ONE!!! I’ve seen one or two at the only remaining ‘mom & pop’ pet store…. Super CUTE but they are way out of MY price range!!! (Same thing goes for Uromastyx- I REALLY want one- I’ve been watching them for years… hopefully folks will start taking more interest in captive breeding so we can afford them!!) I saw an article in my recent “Reptiles” magazine where folks were hoping to do this, & they could be the next Beardies!!🙂 A person an dream, right??

Ode to the Toad Head Agama.....I added that They come from a Sandy Wasteland, A faraway place where the Caravan 🐪Camels roam.🐫 Where it's flat and immense, And the heat is intense 🔥 it's barbaric but to them it's home! Is there no end to your talents? You're Stinkin' Rad!!
@Petta792 жыл бұрын
Thanks for doing these videos. They're fun and engaging, my kids love them too. I do have one question. As we've been going back watching them we've gotten to your videos at NERD and it occurs to me that perhaps it would be wise to include a 6th category. Maybe "Potential for Hazard" or something along those lines. Handleability in my mind should be about handling them and the ease or difficulties associated with it while "Potential for Hazard" could include issues like biting hazards (Alligator Snapping Turtle), poisonous (Rhabdophis Keelback), venom (Gaboon Viper), constriction (Large Python/Anaconda), stings (scorpions), allergens, musking, etc.... Is that something you've entertained or thought about? It could change your scores for existing reviews, lowering scores for things like the Gaboon Viper, which has a dangerously high score for as dangerous as it is to own particularly for the untrained. Also, potentially increasing scores and tightening score ranges for safer to handle reptiles like Rat Snakes, Gopher Snakes and Ball Pythons.

Could you guys ever do a video on white throat or Cape-banded white throat monitors? They're essentially a much smaller and significantly cheaper (though still expensive) version of the black throat monitor which you covered a while back. I'd be very interested to hear your opinions on them considering how much praise you gave to the black throat, which is extremely expensive to keep as you said. Thanks again for the videos you make!
