I had a friend who showed me a photo of a bee on a flower. I said, "Wow, how do you get that shot without the bee flying away?" He answered, "I found a dead bee on the ground and put it on a flower." I am happy to see that your subjects are actually alive. LOL!

That extension tube made a huge difference! Loved the berries! I see what you mean about waiting for the subject to come to you. Jasper in slow mo was awesome. He did a great job and you captured it perfectly! Loved how you just kept playing with the settings! Can't wait to see where this channel takes you, you're a master at this, and I feel it in my bones that you will propel!!

Just found your channel and subscribed, you mention 'one perfect photo' surely you would agree that is subjective? Like any art form we like what we like, looking at your photos they are a hell of a lot better than I have ever taken, then again you are in a warmer country with far more interesting insects! Great stuff and thank you. Macro is my passion.

big time, it about striving on an individual level to capture something your proud of …. much more a out the journey than ‘a perfect’ shot.

do you use flash to allow really fast shutter speeds to freeze the subject or is the natural light enough with the tubes on?

highly recommend using a flash, takes macro to another level … much more so than a lens really. Extension tubes + flash. Dedicated macro lens would be a third purchase.
