Cloud is in five games on Nintendo consoles: Theatrhythm (3DS) Theatrhythm: Curtain Call (3DS) Final Fantasy Explorers (3DS) Kingdom Hearts re:Coded (DS) Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (GBA) He also has a bit of history with Nintendo. FFVII was originally planned to be on Nintendo, but Square wanted to evolve to the next level of graphics and couldn't do it on Nintendo's cartridges. Sony's discs allowed them to. Cloud was originally conceived on Nintendo. Plus, Smash celebrates many parts of Nintendo history. Square's departure from Nintendo was not a happy thing for the company, but it was an important moment in their history. FFVII was what really solidified Sony as a rival to Nintendo. Cloud represents that sour spot in Nintendo's history, but I think he also represents a bright future as Square has been putting quite a few games on Nintendo in recent years. I also think it could be sign that the FFVII Remake may be coming to the NX in a great way for them to come full circle. After all, when it was announced, they said "First on Playstation 4", not "exclusively on Playstation 4".

Yes, Cloud was in Kingdom Hearts, but he didn't ORIGINATE from it. Besides, all Kingdom Hearts original characters are owned by Disney, not Square. Even so, I do think Sora has a chance. Infact, I HOPE Sora gets in.

The reason Cloud made it into super smash bros 4 is because the final fantasy series has games on Nintendo consoles, so final fantasy 7 does not need to be on Nintendo consoles in order for cloud to be in super smash bros 4.

It's disney that holds Sora under lock and key, not Square Enix, also, cloud's nothing to do with the ballot, he's been in development for a while now, he's born of nintendo and square's friendships, not the ballot

SO what if Cloud was in PSx. The fact was that he was already in development since June or even before. Second, it is great that Square actually gave Sakurai the right to use him on Smash. Sora, is not as iconic or even wanted as Cloud has. Sora started on the Ps2, and yes he has games on the portable nintendo systems, that alone doesnt make him more legible. Tird of Sora and their blind KH fanbase. Thats that i love KH.
