The first thing I see when I look at that fabric is the orange birds. It screams co-ord set to me. A shirt and shorts. Have fun making something lovely with the fabric.

What a fabulous box that was! I bought the Pattern Emporium patterns and am half way through making the set. The skirt is almost finished and is looking good. Hopefully I can get the Rise and Shine top done tomorrow morning. I'm heading to Brisbane on Saturday to spend Christmas with my daughter and her family and I would love to be able to wear it on Christmas Day. Too bad I've still got to clean the house and finish the Christmas shopping before then. Wish me luck! 😍😍

@@irenegilchrist1512 That’s great Irene, I bought the two patterns today and I’m going to make the set too, I think it will be very versatile as you can wear them together or with a plain bottom or top. Have a wonderful time in Brisbane it’s such a lovely place ,how long are you staying there. Did you know a clean house is a sign of a wasted life 😂😂😂, that’s my moto. I had to do a bit of pattern Tetris to get the set out of the fabric, I had to leave off the pockets and make it a bit shorter than I wanted which I don't really mind. I'm going to get up early tomorrow morning and try to get some more done before I go on baby sitting duties. Can't wait to see yours 😍😍

@@marlenede-abel1336 Hi Marlene, I’m thinking a set, maybe a skort and top, someone suggested shorts and top but I don’t think I would wear the shorts enough, although the pattern suggested, which is the easy skirt has a flat front waistband which is really nice. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕🎄

Lovely colours in the Tropicana box fabric. Like that fabric for the top. I was thinking the same about a shirt of some description. I’m fortunate that my partner wears most of the numerous shirts lve made him and l have another under construction currently but it’s been awhile since the last one l made him. I’ve made him several pairs of Elbe Fremantle pants for summer from linen that he wears,as they are more comfy than jeans in summer and he works from home driving a desk. I just bought the Beachcomber jacket from Friday Pattern Company as a late birthday present for him. He does earn the money so l have to do something in return😂😂So then it’s back to me🤭

@@catinthehat1486 Hi Cat, I just looked up both of those patterns, I love the Fremantle pants, my husband would never wear them but they would be so much more comfortable than jeans 🤷‍♀️. The Beachcomber jacket looks great too, I did make my husband a jacket a while back but he has hardly worn it, oh well just sew for myself. I hope you get some sewing done this week, Deb 🪡🧵💕🎄
