Absolutely awesome!!! The kind of steam doubleheader we may never see the likes of again. Glad to have it here!

“Branchline”; a railfan newsmagazine from the Bytown Railway Society (Bytown railway society,ca) has an excellent article on the 6060, mentioning this trip in an article entitled “Tribute to Betty”. It is available on PCs, scanned in pdf. Volume 27, Number 11, December 1988. Very much worth the read.

Five minutes and twelve seconds of staring at nothing but a portal waiting for a steam locomotive to appear.

Yep! It was a long wait! If you had read the description, I mentioned to go directly to 5:10 for those in a hurry mfj

The reason I left it so long, is that there are several whistle sounds, which a few rail fans find interesting. As I mentioned in the description, I thought long and hard about making the video shorter, it’s not a matter of stretching it for time.

Yup. That was cool. I can't imagine how those old steam locomotives with passengers made it through the longer rocky mountain tunnels.

I thought something looked odd. I misspelled "Britannia" in the title. Apologies and thanks for those who are viewing the video. mfj
