The solo battles is the "main event" in GBB history. But the loopstation has grown in popularity a lot over the years. I would say they are about equal at this point. The entire GBB event consists of about 4 or 5 categories, but solo, and loopstation are what people mostly come to watch. Since all held during the same event, the crowds are the same.

Great reactions guys, To see how much of a beast D-low is, and to see a criminally underrated tournament, I'd highly recomend you watch the SBX Kickback battles from 2021, starting with the seeding rounds, and then go into the battles (if you dont want to do all just do D-lows) He has some brilliant battles and does some outstanding routines and I think you have to watch the battles to understand the context and the genius of some of his counters, Culminating in an unbelievable final - that honestly could have gone either way... Trust me - you won't regret it 👍

The cash prize thing is for sure a sensitive subject in the BBX world and there has been some disputes with sbx about it of recent.They mainly get exposure. Dlow is an absolute beast and he only gets better and better throughout the years. He is the goat and proves it from 2019.

Basically, .... skill wise both were top notch at the time, but dlow was first time competing at that level but codfish had been in the game for some time, hence dlow lost only because he had comparatively low structure i.e pauses as you were talking. But also, this was D-Low's last L, after that he absolutely murdered all the competitions every single round in 2019 GBB and then in 2021 sbx online one. you got to check that out. after that 2021 he was the judge.

DLow's 2021 SBX Kickback Battle Winner's Compilation is a staple, and is still often suggested as a reaction channel's first introduction to bboxing. It plays like a Harry Mack video, in that it has all of his rounds together in 1 video (it was done online b/c of my-my-my-my-*Rona), and every single round BANGS. INSIDER NOTE: in the round where he says, "but Im also a looper", he's massively flexing the fact that he can carry multiple polyrhythms at once, hes not actually using the loopstation (or anything else b/c that's illegal anyway), it just looks like it. If you search for it, you'll see a bunch of channels that reacted to it, just make sure youre getting the WINNER'S COMPILATION. 🤙🏼 I beleieve it was right after this competition that he tore the back of his throat bboxing, and he started on the judge's panel

Loopstation and the "normal" beatbox are normaly the same event (for example the biggest:GBB) so you cant realy say wich one is bigger. However I think loop station is more popular in mainstream.

@@justarandomguy4688 yea bump jump might be the best routine in the whole event. I don't really know since Codfish always makes it difficult for his opponents to sound as strong and as good as him. Like codfish vs zekka. I know Zekka sounds are strong while also makes good routines, but he sounded weak and out of place against Codfish. Here in this battle, Dlow also sounded not as strong. Dlow's first round wasn't even bad, but it wasn't enough to top codfish's first round. Bump jump might be good, but in that year, dlow did a liproll in the end. Codfish's liproll would counter that easily. Codfish did the same liproll that got him 1st in the 2019 drops.
