My daughter is at the University of Washington. The Design program is almost impossible to get into. So she is hoping to get into tech through the back door doing an Art major. Art nowadays isn’t just painting and sculpting. Art is now involved in every part of tech. So it’s helpful and reassuring to know she can make a transition into tech with an art degree. It won’t be easy. But it is possible.

@@StereotypeBreakers Hi! Your videos are the best I’ve seen on the subject. My 19 yo daughter is just starting out in life. She’s a University student now. Her mind isn’t wired for the rigorous CSE classes, but she is great at writing and art. She is hoping to do an Art major and get into tech through the back door. You mentioned in a comment here that you don’t code. Without giving any identifying information may I ask what you do in tech now? How did you learn the tech skills without a CSE degree? Thank you!

I know it's 2 years later, but I found this video in my search for which career to choose. I had been torn between Backend Development and Data Analytics because I enjoy SQL and Python and you need both for either of those options. I took the quiz in the description and...Data Analytics is the best fit for me!! I will take this as confirmation and get to work! Thank you for sharing!!!

Can we get a video about working as an employee vs as an entrepreneur in tech? That would be interesting, 'cause I think most of the tech degrees prepare people to be a 'decent employee', and if you think about it, it is way more complicated to start your own business in tech than in the trades. However, the market needs more blooming enterprises.
