In my state New Mexico legal marijuana sells tax made it possible to give public school teachers raises and make community colleges and Universities free for all residents of the state. If you started a degree and could not finish it due to funding, you are able to finish your classes for free now and all previous debts in those Schools are wiped clean. All because of potheads, both rich and poor.

In Oregon, all the prohibitionists warned children would find it easier to smoke pot, and traffic accidents would go up. Use among adolescents went down, and so did accidents. The numbers arrested for driving impaired stayed about the same, they just switched from alcohol to cannabis. And the revenue is great.

Netflix is the most expensive streaming system we subscribe to. We usually only subscribe for a few months out of the year to watch the shows we want to, then cancel. They keep upping their prices every few months. Meanwhile Hulu stays cheap & provides just as much content

I don’t smoke anymore because I got diagnosed with a rare disease called CHS or my body rejects it and I vomit violently for hours. One of the reasons I’m still overwhelmingly in support of its legalization is because we would be allowed to do more research into marijuana use to either discover a cure or prevent it from happening to anyone else. As well as the obvious benefits of researching further uses for cancer patients dealing with appetite suppression from chemo to veterans dealing with PTSD. At the moment it’s very difficult for universities and other research centers to research cannabis if it’s illegal at the federal level

The proliferation of streaming services makes getting your shows legitimately more and more of a pain in the ass. Which is what makes people turn to pirating shows instead. Because honestly, paying nine different companies each month, installing all of their apps, then hooking them up to a surveillance device in your living room (what, you thought the 'smart' in a smart tv was for making it more useful to you, the consumer? that's cute and i have some lunar real estate to sell you later) only sounds like a good idea to an insane person. All of these companies carving up the streaming tv market space in to smaller and smaller fiefdoms is making the experience worse for the consumer, is what I'm saying.

David Letterman was THE late night guy for me for your over 20 years. Jay, Craig, Fallon, and even Johnny were all highly competent and entertaining guys, but Dave’s sharp wit brought me to him night after night. In my opinion, Dave even on his best day could never come close to Stephen, who IS not only Mr Late Night, but without a doubt the most intelligent, interesting, talented, empathetic, and honorable man EVER on television or streaming video. They need to develop a standard to distinguish between whether one is under the influence or has residual non-impairing content. Alcohol levels can be measured, but I haven't heard of any similar testing for weed.

Netflix is raising prices and trying to cut down on password sharing, when they should be concentrated on content. Trying to cut down on password sharing is going to annoy people who pay for Netflix as well. Like if a parent pays for 2 screens in Netflix for themself and their kid who lives with another parent. If the price goes up parent might just cancel Netflix and choose Disney +or HBO where they can more easily password share.

Living in Sothern Michigan when we approved recreational weed overwhelmingly. The folks in ruby red Indiana were talking about building a border wall to keep the stoners from refer madness invading their God-fearing state. After a year and a half, nothing happened except we get people from Indiana visiting our state parks in record numbers.

No matter how much weed you smoke, you'll always be able to respond and even drive in an emergency. You'll "sober up" (not really of course) real quick if someone needs to go to the hospital. If you're hammered drunk, you don't stand a chance. Being sober is the safest, but the worst weed situation pales in comparison to the worst alcohol situation. I don't necessarily disagree with an owi for driving while highly intoxicated (on weed) and I understand the half second loss of reaction time, but everyone knows drunk driving is exponentially worse. Technically, texting and driving surpassed drunk driving deaths long ago, still point is weed only gets so bad.

I believe responsible use means not operating motor vehicles or heavy machinery when you're not sober. However, you do tend to hear a lot more about drunk driving accidents than stoned driving ones.

@@nfullenwider realistically it's probably because of the lack of data. If they were to separate drunk driving from stoned driving in statistics, it would be more evident. However anyone who's both drank and smoked separately knows, you react better while stoned compared to drunk or over the legal limit. There's just not enough testing on government levels to measure how stoned is too stoned. Or if being completely blazed is even safer than say simply driving angry or hungry!!
