Faffing about (new to me but totally understandable), mucking around (British, but we "Yanks" use it too). As they say--two countries divided by a common language. Such amazing creativity! I am always amazed at the soaps you come up with. I love using fragrance in different percentages to cause the discoloration. (Genious if you ask me.) I've used pumpkin pie spice to make dirt color. It has a bit of grit to it. I thought it would give some fragrance to my soap but in the end it didn't and people were afraid the cinnamon would burn their skin. I've used it quite a bit and it's never burned me in fact it took away the itch of mosquito bites. Oh well their loss my gain. I've also used cayenne pepper to color my soap orange. I thought it would be a nice warming touch for a winter soap but it just became a colorant. I only used 1/2 to 1 ounce of either spice to my 50 ounce soap batter. I still have much to learn. Thank you for teaching us.

Oh i just love this soap Lisa, and I really appreciate you and how you discuss the technical side of things too. Like the fragrance % in a batch where your using a fragrance to deliberately discolour one one and not another. I came to the same conclusion to only put the safe usage rate in the half I wanted fragranced and not double it up. I just feel that wouldn't be good or potentially safe , even if I didn't sell them because my own skin is sadly quite sensitive to , well it's sensitive to everything really. Anyway my vanilla soap (the soap in question) seems to have turned out nice so it all went well but I'm just glad I'm not alone in considering these sorts of things. Thanks for another great video. I have to buy that pumpkin mould from you if it's available, It's wonderful!

Omg, it is so freaking cute!! It reminds me of crocheted pumpkins! 🎃 🤎 (Edit) the discoloration turned out so great! Because when you were pouring the batter in, I was so confused at not seeing the colorants! And this assessment will have a variety of usage too with the green and orange from the "topping" and the browns from the fragrance! I love the artistry and thought that you put into creating your soaps. Many soapmakers just use a drop swirl or in the pot swirls bc they are much more cost efficient, but your soaps always have such beautiful visions that I don't mind paying a higher price for the art of it. Plus, it makes me feel validated when I spend extra time on my work in my career field only bc I prefer a certain vision which some in my field might consider excessive. 🤣🤷♀️

Yes some of them can be very fast, but I still believe that whilst you may not want to put them in a whole soap, if you test them 1st to find how they react you can avoid disasters. I have a FO that does literally do soap on a stich within second, I use tiny amounts of it when I have a fragrance that's very slow to help hurry things along a bit

Hola Scarlet, trato de agregar subtítulos a la mayoría de los videos, pero me lleva varias horas hacerlo, así que los pongo en todos los videos que puedo, pero a veces simplemente no tengo tiempo para agregar ese paso adicional. 'tengo miedo.
