if I didnt already own the original start collect and two battleforces as a new player to the faction, this would have been a great suggestion haha. I do think this is a solid starting point for roughly $300, throwing in the battletome. The savings on this combo are amazing! You pretty much have eveything you need with a nice selection of leaders to switch it up with on occasion to get the best value. If I were to build off of this I would definitely consider picking up the start collect next giving you an additonal tree lord and dyrads since youre gonna need more battleline choices

Aside from the issue that you should specify 1k point army, Sylvaneth suffers horribly if it doesn't have Trees. So, this 1k list desperately needs at least 1 box of trees. Especially as the Treelord Ancients main value is his ability to bring out a tree anywhere on the board to make maximum use of the faction's abilities.

trees will be needed, but not always. some people can win without them, my guess is by strategically choosing which terrain pieces to slap overgrown on.

Don’t see the issue with why they should specify wether it’s a 1k, 2k or 5k army??? It’s an army just because it’s not the “tournament norm”, lot of people play and enjoy the game at 1000 and other point values, probably more then do at 2k….

There definitely good but with the overgrown terrain feature I feel like you could play without them, you’ll still want to get them though
