Nice long video, Beau. For some reason, they aren't a problem with my attention deficit. Much prefer seeing you above ground (or in the water). You keep it real and share bad digs along with the great. Just a little appreciation - you're one of the good ones.

Loved watching a Wild Chigg in his natural environment. Late winter plumage. His foraging done in daylight, distinguished by the steady “ blip, blip” of his extended armature. His digging arm efficient and ready to delicately prise little treasures from the soil at the indication of a “squeaker” from his longer arm. The Bearded Chigg loves all twinkly objects, especially gold.

Always good to catch the Chigg in his natural habitat, and happy the ground isn't frozen to a brick too. After London you will no doubt be off next to hunt the elusive Peruvian Loop Gharu's, rarer than the hairy southern Samsquench, and much meaner. LOL

The coins used to come over in shiploads when the British exchequer could afford it. Here in Australia, it's very hard to find a British car coin between 1810 and 1827,because there was simply no shipments made in that time.I found an 1826 halfpenny, and googled which ship it came over on!

Doug Alexander Same here! I had a metal finder 30 years ago, never found much. Thought I scored big one day at the beach, dug a hole almost 3’ deep, and it was a plastic bag full of beer cans! Not my greatest day if ya know what I mean! Lol! Unlike me, chig actually knows what he’s doin with one of these things. All I remember is I found maybe $10 in change, some costume jewelry, and forked out $325.00 for the damn thing! Very bad investment!!

Need to keep lens cleaner cloths same for glasses and sun glasses. Then use a spritzer mister with lens cleaner. Your skin will scratch the lens of any camera. So if you get something on it you won’t ruin it.

As a Certified Arborist - I admire your 'go-get-em' attitude when digging within 6 inches of the root flare of a Hackberry. You couldn't get me to just stomp the back of a shovel when there's a 100% chance you're going to be banging on a root - but hey, you make it work!

Why don't Americans use mad micks during winter when the ground is frozen? The picks Australians use would make mince meat of that frozen ground. You would be surprised that the strike rate on hitting coins is LOW about as often as you put a shovel through a coin.
