The steps in the rear bumper were most certainly not an after thought. For those who actually use their trucks as trucks, that rear bumper step is super helpful and probably one of the best designed bumpers in the truck market. Super easy to hop up and get into the bed of your truck....
@LHTPerformance Жыл бұрын
I’m sure it’s pretty helpful if you’re short. I don’t like the look at all and changed it on my GMC also. I use the truck as a truck and fill the bed but still keep the truck nice. I don’t like the steps.

Hello there, first time visit, so I did subscribe. How do you like the Colorado? I can honestly say I like mine. I’m on my second Colorado, the first was a 2016 Z71,4x4, Ext Cab, that we traded for 2 reasons, one it was a lease, second we both retired from mass.to Florida and needed only one vehicle, so a CrewCab was needed. So we traded the Z71 in on a 2019 WT4x4, V6. The only things I miss from the Z71, are the projector headlights and Bose system. But in Florida we don’t need heated seats, so we decided to save the $4,000 difference in price. So I bought, not leased the “loaded” WT, that came with 16” alloy wheels, that will actually be better off road with taller sidewalls. Plus bright trim under the side windows and color coded bumpers and door handles, all white, mostly due to the sun in Florida, plus dark tinted rear an side windows for the same reason. We also use the truck for towing a travel trailer, a 2020 Grey Wolf 24JS, that can get as heavy as 5,600 lbs, but as light as 4,800 lbs. so the factory tow package was necessary, that get the G80 auto lock differential like the Z71, hitch, tow/haul mode and trailer brake controller. But most importantly the very good 7” touch screen with Apple Car Play, plus OnStar 4 G LTE WIFI! That’s not available on any other mid sized truck under 40-50k! I also had the dealer install all the performance skid plates the Bison gets. Plus an 84 month 100,000 miles Bumper to Bumper Warranty. All for an out the door price of just over 33k! Then I had Bilstein 5100 adj ride hight front struts installed on the 1.9” lift ring, that uses the stock spring, but not only lifts/levels, but adds 2” of suspension travel! Plus the same 5100 shocks in the rear, along with Firestone airbags, that with the liger shocks will also help add travel in the rear. I will get a few more miles out of the stock Wranglers, before I change over to the DuraTrac tires in 265/75-16, that will be about 2” taller. I’ll be ready for some off road and still be able to tow with ease. Good luck have fun and stay safe and healthy!

Kevin Voyer I still love the truck, there is a few small things I change to make it where it needs to be. One big thing are the headlights. Change your headlights to the ultra GTR LED headlights, that made a huge difference. It sounds like you have the height and looks of the truck the way you want it, the leveling made a big difference for me. I also love the large screen and the tech, one thing about it is it just works perfect, every time. As cool as the NSX Was, the tech sucked. It was a chore making it do anything
@kevinvoyer50533 жыл бұрын
@@LHTPerformance Yea I’ve been looking into LED replacement for my crummy hologen bulbs, but the WT has regular old fashioned reflector style headlights, I’ve read some LED’s don’t work well with that type an HID works better. But the big issue is no one has ever videotaped what the difference is! There are some like yours that cover the projector type low beams like the Z71 comes with. That’s really the only shortcoming in the truck. Plus there’s the whole crazy part about having to remove half the front of the truck to change the headlights! I could have swapped them with the leased Ext Cab I had, that wasn’t picked up to two weeks after we bought the crew cab! What a ridiculous design! The 2005 Avalanche I owned it took 20 seconds to remove the entire headlight pods! Without tools!

The tinted headlight mod is subtle but massively effective - pity motor manufacturers don't get the importance of the small details. Takes a guy from the UK improving the looks of this pickup 👍

Hey Jon, looks great! I did want to mention an issue I had that you may have after installing LED tail lights/blinkers. When you brake, is there a big noticeable difference between the tail lights and brake lights? Mine you could hardly tell. Just looking out, safety first!

Steve M Yes. That’s something I’ve noticed. Tail lights are a little over bright. Once I come up with a solution I’ll talk about it. As much as some ‘couch engineers’ like to comment and offer no information, I’ll share my findings.

Good morning LHT Performance, It's funny I came across this video. Tomorrow I am having my 2021 GMC Canyon Elevation Crew Cab's front end leveled 2" with that same kit from ReadyLift. Bringing it to a performance shop here in Connecticut where it will be leveled. My rake difference on the Canyon is 35" front and 36 1/2" rear. So the 2" will have the front end just a bit higher, not noticeable we figure. I'm wondering what your opinion of 2" wheel spacers is. Again doing this just for looks. Hi from Bob in Connecticut
