Let's break down the marketing: 00:00 - View from orbit (not what you'll see) 00:14 - View from orbit (not what you'll see) 00:21 - Actual view from capsule (can't believe marketing let this slip through) 00:35 - Another realistic capsule view 00:39 - Nope. That's like a jungle or some rivers. You get desert. 00:44 - View from orbit (not what you'll see) 00:55 - View from orbit (not what you'll see) 1:05 - Realistic view from capsule 1:19 - Unprecedented series of realistic views of actual equipment and experience In short, show people the experience you are actually selling. It is an amazing, world-altering thing that is more than capable of amazing as-is. Showing unrealistic views only reminds people of the negative side of commercial space operations.

If you save it for the next few years, which they probably spent a few years making, you can buy your very own starship launch to orbit. You basically get a flying house that can carry anything any average person would have times a hundred. Both SpaceX and Google lost big time to Virgin galactic.....250k per seat....and they have already sent up crewed missions several times. They will also be the first to send commercial, paid seat flights.
@Sir_ClickALot2 жыл бұрын
@@user-jz3vc9kd2j Ehm... you do know they don’t have crewed missions to orbit, right? Currently SpaceX is the only one doing that, and successfully. Virgin does tourist flights to ‘space’ (it’s still below the Karman line) that last a couple minutes, like Blue Origin with their New Shepard. Prices are different because they are completely different flights. Also, @Mister Meow, I know SpaceX is doing it mainly for the betterment of humanity, they’ll still require money to develop and provide it. Currently Blue Origin, just like SpaceX, has a commercial model to gain funds that can be used to further develop their New Glenn vehicle. Any flight to space will always cost a shit ton of money until mass production and flights will reduce the price to a level that us peasants can buy a ticket as well. Throughout this process competition will make sure the price is as low as it can viably be.

Interviews, encouraging music, 4K videos... this is the old fashion way to sell things. SpaceX is selling their idea letting people do live streams with how do they build rockets in the open air, answering questions on social media, showing us all their mistakes and fails with a sense of proximity and transparency, often with a sense of humour. When they succeed on something it feels we all succeed because we have witnessed how hard is to get there. Blue Origin or Virgin Galactic are usually quiet for months and they only pop up to show us videos like this. It looks more like a trailer for a movie than a space program. Luckly, we also have Rocket Lab which are more in line with SpaceX approach, but between the all 4 it seems to be a line that split what 2 companies feels young and modern and which 2 feels old fashion.

Trust me guys, I rode on New Shepard recently. Riding to Space with Blue Origin really does change you! I came back to earth and immediately Sued NASA. I also started a new Graphic Design Company to release Infographics talking sh*t about all my competitors and anyone who is better than me.

From what I have seen so far is a ride up to 350000ft, engine shuts down, capsule separates and the freefall back to earth begins. The weightlessness is not that of being in orbit but simply the result of a parabolic trajectory similar to the Vomit Comet. For me spaceflight is being orbit around our beautiful planet. Not a 10 minute rocket ride up and down.

They have been up several times.....they are way behind Virgin galactic though. Virgin is by far the winner of space tourism. 250k per seat.

I don’t see why everyone is hating. I work for SpaceX. What Blue is doing is awesome, I hope space will be more accessible in the future but this is a good start. FYI, the bidding proceeds are going to an auction to benefit education, they are not doing this to help their bottom line.
@miguellopez33922 жыл бұрын
then you dont work for spaceX if you dont know why, they halted moon lander development for spaceX and are trying to lock them out of 10 billion in funding and take it entirely for itself giving them 4x the funding SpaceX has, this is going against blue origin previous claim that NASA is being unfair about how they wanted funding assigned and that they could "readjust the price" to be cheaper for NASA and encourage fair competition... this is to help Jeff get a very big government handout, while putting a thumb on spaceX.

What's the message of this clip? Actually Blue Origin tries to hop to the border of space while others do real space travel. Following this channel makes me al little be sad. Sorry for my bad english. I will still follow this chanel. Hoping for more. Come on, make it!

Congrats to both Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic. Only those two sources will offer the common man (albeit rich ones) the opportunity to go into space. Sure, it's only for 3 minutes. But it will open up an opportunity that the common man has never, ever had before in mankind's total existence. This is similar to the airplane when it first came out. First it was pretty much for government use during war (although some common people did get the chance but it was extremely limited). Then business began using planes primarily for the movement of cargo. And then finally small airline carriers developed to transport people. One of the first was to fly people from Tampa over to St. Pete.....a short but breathtaking trip to be sure. Now we are seeing the same with common man getting the chance to go into space. It seems there are a lot of people posting on here that think it is meaningless or shouldn't occur or want to somehow demean the attempt to give an opportunity to all of man that it has never had before. Shame on you people.
