The Bible also says man was created the first page of the Bible but man has existed for potentially hundreds of thousands of years. At least 100,000 years. The people who are claimed to have written the Bible, none were alive during Jesus Christ. Artifacts have been found from lost civilizations from thousands of years before Jesus is said to exist. Where is Noah’s ark? The ark of the covenant is said to be in Ethiopia and guarded by armed men 24/7 and the guards all get cataracts and cancer and die but they won’t let anyone inspect it to see if it’s just radiation

Speaking seriously on the paternity leave question: as a wife and mom, when our first child was born, I deeply appreciated that my husband's company at the time gave 6 weeks of paternity leave at full pay, in addition to the state leave which would be at 60% of his pay if he took it. He took 4 weeks immediately after our son was born and it was wonderful to have my supportive, loving husband home to bond with baby and split early night feedings. He took the final two weeks just before our son turned one, since it only applies for the child's first year. It was great to have. When our second was born he was only a few months into a new job which had necessatated moving to a new state. They hardly give anyone vacation time, let alone paternity leave. Luckily, it was an even smoother birth and recovery with baby number two, and my mom came and stayed for the first week. That said, I wish my husband could have stayed home for the first couple weeks to bond early with our baby girl.

As a baptist I don't believe that you NEED to be baptised by immersion to go to heaven. That's works based salvation and goes against everything we believe in. Example: The thief on the cross wasn't baptised but Jesus said he'd see him. Therefore salvation is NOT based on how you are baptised or even if you have been at all. That being said, I think baptism is an important outward showing of following what God want's us to do.

Danngg that is just psychotic to work the day of your child’s birth. Time is something you’ll never get back. I’m SO thankful for my husband's paternity leave! The adjustment let alone the recovery is enough to justify having your own spouse around extra for a few weeks. Don’t put all the responsibility on extended family to take care of your own wife.

If it’s just a reason to get together with family and close friends and reveal to the parents to be if they’re having a son or daughter, just sounds like a reason to celebrate and hangout with ppl you love to me. But maybe I’m just a low key person and my idea of a gender reveal is not these gentlemen idea of a gender reveal.

Baptism is not required for salvation however, people too often minimize its' importance. Jesus was baptized & we are told to get baptized. Remember the scripture says that obedience is better than sacrifice. Why would we NOT get baptized. The dedication of a baby to God is just fine. But baptism is, in part, a public declaration of a personal confession; a decision made by someone with agency & not a baby.

The repentant thief went to heaven. He never got baptized. Never went to church. If God made an "exception" for him, you can't say he requires everyone else to be baptized. Cause then God would essentially hold two different standards.
@jhssuthrnmama20 күн бұрын
Not the case at all. God makes norms for us to obey. We must make every effort to obey him, but he may grant exceptions however he wishes.
@teutonicknight2320 күн бұрын
@@jhssuthrnmamaso God isn’t consistent? Why would he let the Thief on the Cross go to Heaven if he wasn’t Baptized? That seems like God going back on his word if you think you have to be baptized to be saved. If God wasn’t consistent, he would be like the Muslim god, who even if you did all the right works, could still push you into hell if he felt like it.

Mark 16:16 John 3:5 Romans 6:3-4 1 Peter 3:21 All state that baptism is part of the belief. It is the act of the belief. 'Faith without works is dead' The faith shown by the "work" of baptism is an essential part of salvation. If it wasn't then the eunuch on the road with Philip wouldn't have been so eager to be baptized on the side of the road immediately. Basically it boils down to each salvation is individual. In the individual case of the thief on the cross. His vocal recognition of Jesus as Lord was his "work" paired with his faith. Each person should ask themselves, what is the downside to getting baptized? I still haven't heard anyone give me a good answer on that question. Getting wet?

Show me in the Bible where it says you have to be baptized to go to Heaven. You won’t find it! Jesus was baptized as an example and to demonstrate that He was the Son of God. If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and accept the Gift of Salvation you will be saved. There is no mention of baptism. Michael is flat out wrong.

14 Bible Verses That Show We’re Saved Through Baptism “Baptism is birth into the new life in Christ. In accordance with the Lord's will, it is necessary for salvation, as is the Church herself, which we enter by Baptism.” (CCC 1277) Jean-Baptiste Mallet, “Geneviève de Brabant Baptizes Her Son In Her Prison,” 1824 Dave Armstrong BlogsNovember 30, 2021 The Bible directly links baptism to salvation: Mark 16:16 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” John 3:5 “Jesus answered, ‘I tell you the truth, unless a man is born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.’” (cf. 3:3: “unless a man is born again …”) Acts 2:38-41 “And Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are far off, every one whom the Lord our God calls to him.’ And he testified with many other words and exhorted them, saying, ‘Save yourselves from this crooked generation.’ So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.” (cf. 9:17-18; 1 Corinthians 12:13: both associate the Holy Spirit with baptism) Acts 22:16 “And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name.” (cf. 9:17-18) Romans 6:3-4 “Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” he Bible does it
