It'd be great to read an article on the steps you took to help Blake in the bottom position. I have a similar tendency to power most of my snatches. It'd be cool to see how you guided him in fixing that problem.

Hey Everett, question regarding the press. This may seem dumb, but I can get a jerk rack with a full grip and relatively straight. But not straight enough, so when I press I can't get it straight, but I've seen plenty of Oly lifters go from bent to straight, or guys like yourself or the big guy in this vid who seem to be straight wrist when pressing. My question is, do I need to work on flexibility to have a jerk rack with straight wrist or do I have to straighten out my wrist as I press? And if so, how do I do that? Your help is always appreciated and useful

You need to straighten out your wrist as you press or jerk, but not actually all the way to neutral. See this - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIG3XqdjpZd_Y8U

What is the difference between a snatch pull and a snatch high pull?

High-pull has active pull with the arms at the top to bring bar up higher - www.catalystathletics.com/exercise/99/Snatch-High-Pull/

Hey Greg! How long roughly do you think it took Blake to be able to get into that deep bottom position? I started the same way he did only power movements. I've improved tremendously but still not rock bottom with heavier weights.

He could always get into it, just not comfortably or stably. It's taken several months of direct work on it to get it to where it is now, which is still not finished.
