Another cracking collection video Steve! I never knew that there was a Norwegian CM. Everyday's a school day isn't it. Like you I spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours playing CM with my two brothers. It's easily the best game Domark ever released on the Amiga IMHO. I also waited with baited breath for CM2 and ended up buying it on the PC during 1997. It wasn't until I started collecting that I discovered that it even got an Amiga release!

Cheers Paul, yeah Norwegian CM, so random... I’ve played a bit of CM2 on Amiga and it’s tediously slow, in some ways I’m glad I didn’t wait for the Amiga release might have put me off for life

That was very cool mate, loved it. Never seen those plastic boxes. Nice line to collect for sure. I loved Escape from the planet of the Robot Monsters on my Atari ST.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
Thanks matey, don’t know if Robot Monsters was any better an the ST, it’s an Atari game so they might have taken more time with it

Yeah another belter for a dose of nostalgia this one Steve. Lots of stand out titles in there, but I remember probably putting most time into APB and Robot Monsters, love the compilations aswel, why dosent it surprise me you pulling that blank disc trick on your mate ha ha ha good stuff pal 👍

Championship manager robbed two years of my life 😂 my brother and I were obsessed. I’ve ordered a modded Amiga but I think I’ll still have to pick up the actual copies boxed complete. Thanks for sharing Steve 👍

Yeah well worth having for the box porn mate, still very playable today, great to see all the old players in probably my favourite era of football

Sinisteve Retro Gamer sorry to pester Steve, any recommendations on a joystick? Think I’ll pick on up before the Amiga arrives. Thanks Jay

TheTjay09 don’t be silly, I love the power play cruiser...some people like zipsticks and competition pros, you could even invest in a monster joystick if you like arcade sticks

Wow, I am WAY behind on these collection vids Steve.....lol That'll teach me for having a bit of a mini break! What more can I say other than a great subset of Domark goodness there (and a few dodgy ones, too!) and yeah, Championship Manager is simply amazing. Loved it on the ST, Amiga and PC and even today I still dip in and out of Championship Manager 2 (97/98). Loved your creative quick thinking to dupe your mate by writing the name on the disks. I did similar things myself but needs must! haha Yeah, those plastic cases are just a nuisance. They look alright on a shelf but.....that's about as good as they get!
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I still go back to the old championship managers too At least you’ll have plenty to watch if you have trouble sleeping haha I still have around 3 videos to film🙈

Awesome collection Steve, I don't remember ever owning one of those plastic boxes. Totally agree mate, pit fighter is terrible. Huge fan of badlands, great fun. I love a compilation also mate, wonderful collection.

Enjoyed that mate. Didn't realise there was so many Domark games. Wings of Fury is a game I've got copied on a disc from back in the day, got my dads writing on. One that I would like the most out of all those is Star Wars Trilogy. Good video mate enjoyed it.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
You’re looking at around £40 I think for Star Wars trilogy now, the first two are actually pretty good and play well with the mouse... I own wings of fury on the budget Respray label, pretty decent game too

Great collection there, can't beat good box art which also shows the arcade cabinet. Those plastic cases they come in are they box protectors or were they released in the plastic cases? Not to self, not to borrow champ manager 2 from you ha!
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
😂😂 No they are how they came, pretty rigid plastic but hinges just as fragile as Dreamcast games
@Itsmuchmore4 жыл бұрын
@@Sinisteve got a couple of those big boxed games on the amstrad but none had the plastic cases - thanks for the info

Nice one! im hoping to get some more of these domark clamshell big boxes, they look great on the shelf at least! The James bond games were my some of my favourite amiga games! I think Live and let die was based on the hydra engine? at least im sure it plays the same. Thunder Jaws i completely forgot bout that one, great collection!
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I do like those clamshells, was gutted when I found out there were a couple of really rare expensive ones though after I’d though I had the full subset, the other annoying thing is I already own the 2 games missing on budget labels🙈 I’ve only really played licence to kill, live and let die looks very much like hydra and spy who loved me is apparently the best JB game, sure there is a 4th point and click bond game too

GotTo Love those plastic cases, what is my obsession with brittle plastic cases that crack as soon as you look at them hahah some absolute classics mate loved Toobin on Amiga and the Star Wars trilogy so many memories, I never played APB on Amiga remember it on speccy and atari lynx
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
Yeah APB was alright, definitely one of the better late Atari arcade games

Xybots is great Steve it’s like bezerk in 3D Escape from the planet robot monsters, does that have speech like the arcade version ?
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
It definitely has speech in the intro but can’t remember speech in the game...I don’t remember putting much time into it to be honest, definitely gonna give Xybots a go now though, love a bit of Berzerk

Great video, loads of those look like they’re in awesome condition. I was going to say about Shufflepuck until you mentioned it right at the end. You see a few copies of that version on the ST but I was never 100% convinced the Amiga got a release of that version, it’s so rare and the one I did see had a suspicious looking mark like a sticker had been removed (eg an Atari ST sticker maybe) with an Amiga disk. Great story about the spelling of license/licence - better to mis spell as a buyer than a seller though, I saw an “Armstad” CPC with colour monitor sell for about £20 the other day. Outrageous behaviour re: Championship Mgr 2 disks. Surprised just how many Domark games are Tengen conversions - did you know Tengen are a subsidiary of Atari Games? Not sure if that means all Tengen games were Atari arcades but certainly most of them seem to be.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
£20 is all CPCs are worth anyway aren’t they😂😂 Is it Wings of Fury or Shufflepack you’re not sure was released on Amiga? Yeah I knew Tengen and Atari we’re connected somewhere, they did so many Atari Arcade conversions, I know they also got involved with Namco and Sega conversions for other consoles too, brings back so much nostalgia
@AmAtAm4 жыл бұрын
Sinisteve Retro Gamer It was that big plastic box version of Shufflepuck I was suspicious about (in terms of there being an Amiga version in that box), obviously wrong given the graded version you mention. I didn’t know Wings of Fury came in that type of box at all.
