You've not played Monkey Island! Tut Tut 🤣 Those Lucasarts games are quite expensive nowadays, but they are great! Some cracking titles in there. Loved The Settlers and Flashback too. 😍

Yeah some of those lucas arts games go for loads, Loom and Zac McCracken spring to mind🙈 Glad I’m not too fussed with the genre haha

I heard you had a few Skidmarks mate.. in your undies. 😂 Look at the tower of boxes at the end there, doesn't get any better than Amiga box art and popping colours. Some interesting ones again in here mate. Great video.

Eye of the beholder 1 & 2 , Grand Prix and Flashback are the only ones on my shelf. Although I played almost all of the others. Either at friends place or we borrowed from each other. A very common practice , back in the day. Our way of saving money since pirated games didn’t reach our small corner of Sweden. But original, public domain and shareware games were easy to order through magazines which our newspaper agent gladly helped us get presciptions for. The best one were British : The One , Amiga action , Zzap! , Amiga power , CU Amiga and so on.

Wow pirates games didn’t reach Sweden, couldn’t imagine my Amiga back in the day not having copied games, that was half the fun

Sinisteve Retro Gamer : Well , there were some , not many. Usually the absolutely biggest titles. The very few that comes to mind is Monkey island , Speedball 2 and Lemmings. Mind you , I grew up way out on the countryside , in a very small village.

Love Arabian Nights, settlers is one of my all time favourites, I blame it for my terrible GCSE results ☹️. Simon the sorcerer is my favourite point and click, the cd-32 version has a voice over by Chris Barrie as I remember. James pond 2 was definitely my favourite out of the series, completed it as I remember. Monkey Island series is just brilliant 😍. I had that megalomania/ 1st samurai compilation, haven't seen that box in years must Hoover it up, to evilbay immediately. Awesome collection mate 👍

Haha, you’re the same as me, watch someone of KZbin then straight off to eBay😂 The point and clicks are really not my genre, maybe if I sat with someone and they showed me the ropes....but I respect that they’re decent

You've never played monkey island blasphemy! How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood😂

I can tell your much more into sport sims than fantasy role playing games. Probably cus I’m a bit older dungeons and dragons was all the rage in the early 80s. Lovey collection Stev.

Cheers Alex, hows the arm? I just RPGs are just not for me, just prefer the arcade action and going for high scores, never been that into story driven games, maybe get into them one day I mean I own enough of them, I own most of the Zelda games but never completed one haha
@TheArcadeArchive4 жыл бұрын
Sinisteve Retro Gamer As I’ve got older I find ive got less time for rpgs. Zelda is more action game than RPG and will always love those games. Another genre I’ve gone off in recent years is RTS I don’t think they’ve improved at all. I used to love them 10 years ago. I’ve definitely got more into shooters and my favourite is run and gun games. I’ve just picked up Gigantic army for the switch and I can’t recommend it enough mate. My arm is hopefully now starting to nit together but I’m finding it extremely hard.

Some belters there, Steve. The Lost Vikings was one of my favourites as a kid, and one that I need to add to my collection. Don't come up often though from what I've seen. Never played Monkey Island??? We are no longer friends.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
😂why’d you think I passed the advertising display your way Lost Vikings is decent on the Amiga, you’re right it’s not that common, you’re looking at around £30 for it, I’ll keep my eye open😉

Very nice. Hybrid was a good one to invest some pennies in. I’ve never played Street Rod. Like you I have never and probably will never spend any serious time on a dungeon crawler. I think most Monkey Island 2 boxes need a bit of an iron, those cardboard boxes weren’t really up to the job of holding the weight of 11 disks.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
Love my Hybrid, cost me a small fortune to get it shipped from Canada🙈 I just remember my Monkey Island 2 being in better condition, I bet I’ve accidentally sold a better condition one, must’ve owned around 5 of them haha

I cant believe youve never played Monkey island!? The lucasarts and delphine collections are awesome so many quality PnC games there. Indy is still my fav though ;)

I know mad huh! I think I was just too young to be bothered about it, but then again I’ve never really played any point and click adventure unless you can count defender of the crown, command and conquer or championship manager ha, just not my genre

@@Sinisteve wow I'm surprised. I miss all my Amiga games. All went to good homes in the end after being made to sell when I got made redundant back in 2017. Really disappointed at having to lose them especially when I had a good fair few signed. Ah well, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Haha can't believe you haven't played Monkey Island or knew that Simon the Sorcerer was a point click, was it? Good collection of games though. I had a lot of the big boxed titles back a few years ago and managed to get a good few signed by the people who worked on them. They're good condition games too so cherish them.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
Haha point and click is just not my genre, I was only 6 when we got or first Amiga and was playing it up until around 14/15...think they were just too advanced for me at that age, never too late though
@AmigaFreak774 жыл бұрын
@@Sinisteve ah right nuff said then I guess. I was 11 when I first got mine so I was a little ahead. I guess when your younger you don't really tend to go fo the adventure games or strategy games, it's all about having fun there n then.
