the better value is nearly anything vs the new Tacoma. They jumped the shark with pricing, especially the options packaging and $3700 up charge for hybrid.

Not to mention the hybrid offers little to no mpg increase. Big mistake on Toyotas part. Toyota should have made the hybrid like the rest of their non truck fleet and squeeze an extra 10 mpg out of it.

IMO the Ford Maverick is the true winner. Of course I maybe biased? I recently took delivery AWD FX4 4K tow Ford Maverick. I don't think there is anything out there that can compete. Unless you need more towing capabilities or doing serious rock climbing. That is if one is looking for comfortable 5 seating capacity, superior suspension, handling and mileage. I'm thoroughly impressed with this truck and enjoying it more everyday. For a daily driver it is really impressive. Maybe why they are having a hard time keeping them in stock. Oops forgot to mention the money I've saved on the purchase and the money I'm saving everyday at the gas station without sacrificing 0 to 60mph when it's needed.

It's apples and oranges. One has unibody and front wheel drive, the other has body-on-frame and rear wheel drive. The latter is the true pickup.

ehh, the little maverick can do pretty much everything the Taco can. In fact, it has a greater payload and is quicker than the taco. The tow package is 4k and the tremor has 4wd and a rear locker. For 10-20k less, the maverick is the easy winner for most

I just got a tremor at MSRP. They are no longer marking up at every dealer.

Maverick cabin is the same size, payload is better. Better gas mileage. Can do light offroading. If you need to tow or hard core offroading, get the taco. Outside of that, Maverick is a no brainer.
