I don’t think weapon re-colors are terribly hard to make- instead of emerald weapons, there should just be “gem weapons,” where it’s the same aesthetic but you can choose from Emerald, Diamond, Ruby, Amethyst, Sapphire, etc

I would hope for frost white and jet black, to really nail some colour combinations. For instance, white with Ice Wraith will complement the only white element of Genji’s facemask. But it has to adapt to the texture of the weapons, and not be like the liquid gold.

Yeah, I feel that. Last month, I've only logged into OW2 to quickly complete some weekly challenges for coins and credits and then logged off - if that. Your right. Even OW 1 comp system wasn't perfect either, it just seemed like it was because of how bad OW2 comp is. Reverting back is already a huge step up from what we have now, but that doesn't mean it should stop there. The game still needs a lot of improvement when it comes to comp and I really do hope that they move focus into actual competitive PVP than the casual mess it has been since OW2 released. And that isn't to say that all the casuals should be ignored, but as it is now, it feels like the competitive PVPers, who were the only ones playing OW1 before OW2, were completely thrown to the side, and that was just fucked. But what they have showed LOOKS great. We will see though how it works when we get our hands on it.

@@boiqi Nah, the style itself is like Pixar or Disney animation worked on it. It's not like I'm saying the designs are ripped out of any Disney work, except for Mauga, who is straight outta Moana, but the style itself is super Disney. As well as the short stories, the way they move, the way they talk as in the writing. It all feels like Disney to me. Even some of the locations look like they would fits into a Pixar movie. Again, not saying it looks bad per say, but just SUPER boring, played out and wayyyy to childish for what the audience is made up of, which is mostly adults. OW used to look and feel unique. It just doesn't anymore. And I do think it is a lot because of the designs of the characters. For how unique the characters are, put all together it's blurred into something that wasn't what OW used to be. Like a ton of these peole in the game came out of wars and shit. But look how their dressed. A lot of them used to make sense because of where they used to spend their time in the lore, but now there's this guy who is shirtless and having bullets bounce off of hit in the trailer itself. There is an amount of disbelief we should have, like with Doomfist, but it just feels like a joke when Soldier sprays him and he just laughs. At least give him some armor OR SOMETHING. And that is another reason why it feels super Disney. Like in some Disney movies there are people who take dmg that should kill them but it's just played for laughs or they take the time to show the person is ok for that PG rating. That shit is all over this game. Super kid friendly. I miss stuff like the Bastion cinematic that reminded us that he is a killing machine that could lose control and become a mass murdering robot without the bird with him. That is what this game is serverly missing. And I use him as an example because I'm not saying it all has to be super dark and no wholsome stuff, but there is absolutely nothing dark or gritty feeling going on in the OW world where there is always war. Ramatra was ALMOST there. Again, they tip their toe in and pull it out the moment it touches the water.

Battle pass updates are nice. I feel like a battle pass similar to Halo Infinite's system would be pretty cool, tho. Thank goodness! This seems like a lot of what I felt like was missing in comp play. I only started playing overwatch when ow2 came out and I instantly felt like the whole system was flawed. Of course, I was total ass when I first started playing, but I feel like I've gotten to a point where I understand the game a little bit better and what I'm supposed to do in certain roles. I've switched to playing comp almost exclusively and found myself reaching Plat in Support and Tank, but after a series of losing streaks, I've spent several seasons in Silver/Gold, unable to climb out. I made a smurf account for shits and giggles and was able to play M4 for Tank and M1 for support. I'd like to be able to do this again on my main account and it sounds like I'll be able to.

Im really glad to see changes to comp. The 5 wins system doesn’t work. I perform well in the majority of my matches playing tank but still manage to lose cuz teammates rarely pull their own weight. If someone consistently plays above average in their division, then they should always rank up regardless of winning or losing.

That is what I have always been saying, basing a comp off of win/loss is the worst system, because if you get a team who doesn't work with you, you lose, no matter what. A top 500 support can only carry a Bronze tank so far.

@@Lhnzy im a gm tank support player. 9/10 its dps with the most deaths, 2-3kd is a good kd but certainly can be explained by other factors except dominance, playing ball/playing safe/resetting and giving space instead of risking for kills, spamming damage for assists. Chazm did an unranked to gm no deaths but by far his plays weren’t optimal. Stats don’t matter cause they never tell the full story yk. I believe in you that you’ll gain if you are truly better than your rank.

Flats is so right about modes getting new maps. Like push has been in the game for a little over a year and we’ve had 3 maps almost the entire time. Flashpoint is way newer but only has 2. So when ever those modes show up they feel kinda stale. But I want new maps for the legacy modes cause I love those modes. It’s kind of an issue. I’m probably in the minority here but I’d rather have (new map - new map - new hero) in terms of season releases. At least for a little while.

imo what makes a pve or any player vs ai experience good are the enemys, and overwatch has some of the most basic enemies in the history of ever. halo combat evolved, a 2001 game did better than blizzard ever can. pve would've been lame no matter what they did

For a million dollar company, you'd think they would be able to afford decent headsets for casters. I've tuned into 3 different people: Taliesin, Flats and another who was invited for the BFD raid, and all of them were horrible. Cutting in and out, scratchy as hell.

@@S1erra107 I work as an IT analyst. I know how mic tech works. I've set up way too many to not know how it works. Those headsets look like the ones at my last job, and those cost maybe 20 dollars at most. Head office ordered them, the IT department just bought cheap gaming headsets to take service calls. Even if by some miracle it isn't the headsets, then its the computers they are streaming to which are incorrectly set up, which is an easy fix.
